5Looks that kill
By wellwellwell
With all the recent re-releases in the Star Wars LEGO line, I had been anxiously awaiting the new Episode III sets. And looking through pictures of the sets before they were released, I was particularly attracted to the Wookiee Catamaran. I was not, however, as attracted to the price of the Wookiee Catamaran. After all, this set has 20 fewer pieces than the (equally as striking) ARC-170 Starfighter; and yet it costs $10 more. It really doesn't seem to make sense... until you have the Catamaran assembled and sitting gorgeously on your dresser for the world (or your friends) to see. Just by looking at the set on display, it appears there's more than 376 pieces. And of all the new Episode III sets I have put together, this one has to be the best-looking. It's dashing and simplistic at the same time.Putting the set together was very easy, which can be either good or bad depending on the person. Because the two sides of the catamaran are basically identical, when you build the second "wing" you almost get in a groove and don't really even need the directions, much like with the legs of the AT-AT. The durability of the set would look as if it were a bit flimsy; and during the building process it is. But once you have it together, if you grab it by the center you shouldn't have any problems moving it from one spot to another. Also, putting the strings on the two holding areas that drop the blue neon balls was almost as tedious as threading a needle. But that's neither here nor there and inconsequential after you've finished. As for the minifigs, you get 2 new Clone Troopers (who get their own neat little vehicle here), a new Wookiee Warrior, the too-often-used Yoda and Chewbacca, and Luminara Unduli, who's equipped with LEGO's newest fixation/trademark: the light-up lightsaber. Not a bad guestlist. So in conclusion, I'd recommend the Wookiee Catamaran to anyone who's got extra money to spend on something they'd love to have people gawk over in envy, but not necessarily play with.

5Good Lego set!

This is a great toy!One time when I was playing with it, the wing fell and broke, but other than that it is a good toy.[I still think this toy should be cheaper].

5Best Lego set I know - and I own a LOT!
By A Customer
I am 7 1/2 years old and it took me about two hours to build both the Swamp Speeder and the Catamaran. If you're more experienced than I am, well, it might take you an hour to do both. They were really fun to build and to play with when I was finished. The light-up light saber was really cool. And I especially like the blaster cannon. It shoots a rubber thingamajig all the way across our kitchen, and you have to be careful with it around your baby brothers or sisters or even your mom because it can HURT! I would buy it again anytime and recommend it to any Star Wars collector or Lego fan.

5Great Set. Great Price
By A Customer
This is set is very pleasing to the Lego and Star Wars fan. It includes a General Grievous minifig (only set to get it in) and an Obi-Wan Kenobi (non-light up lightsaber version). It includes Greivous' Wheel-Bike Transport and a bird/lizard creature that Obi-Wan rides on. One of the things I do not like about this set is that the lightsaber hilts are a gray color as opposed to the traditional silver. I also am not a fan of the flesh tone color that Obi-Wan has, only because I feel it disrupts the continuity in lego. What I do like about this set is Greivous. Lego did a terrific job of bringing the 4-Armed General to life. I strongly reccomend this set. It includes 2 great minifigs and comes with 5 light sabers (3 blue, 2 green). Lego has started to make all jedi figures in other sets with light up lightsabers. Which means you cannot remove the lightsaber from their hand.

5Gen. Grevious Star Wars Lego Toy
By T. Geery
Good challenge for my 8 year old to put together... not too difficult as to be frustrating but hard enough to make him think a bit.He loves Star Wars so he has spent a good amount of time playing with the toy after putting it together.

34 thumbs up for General Grievous (3.5 stars overall)
By wellwellwell
This was the last Episode III Lego set I bought, simply because I didn't really like the way it looked. Sure, people say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but through the years and the hundreds of thousands of bricks I have learned you can usually tell when a Lego set isn't going to completely satisfy. But I bought it anyway. And while this set has its moments, the General Grievous Chase is no outshining star. With just 111 pieces, there isn't much substance; and therefore there isn't a lot to get excited about. The real treasure (and main reason for even buying this set) here is General Grievous himself, who comes equipped with four lightsabres (2 green, 2 blue). His body is basically a glorified Episode I droid, but white and with two extra arms to hold all the lightsabres. (On a completely out-of-context note, the body used here for GG would have been perfect for all those previous droids, since it allows for the arms to move away from the body. That way, their weapons could have gone from side to side... you'll see what I mean if you buy this.) I guess all I could think about when I was putting him together was how cool an actual duel between Obi-Wan and Grievous would be, in film, with the plentiful lightsabres. Obi-Wan's minifig is in standard form, while his giant lizard-thing is a rather "puffed up" version of the Mos Eisley Cantina's infamous Dewback. It's actually quite ugly. Assembling all this took me under 20 minutes, which is expected with such a small piece count. Oh, and trying to figure out how to reposition the legs of the wheelbike (correctly) so it could roll took an addition two to three minutes. All in all, the General Grievous Chase is an average Star Wars Lego set; nothing too special, and certainly not among the best of the Episode III line. Still, if not for simply finalizing your collection, Mr. Grievous is probably worth the price alone. This set is very durable, a decent displayer and reasonably priced, considering the aforementioned pluses. Let the force be with you.

5This little planer delivers big time performance.
By Salvavida
I have had this planer for over 3 years now, and it has been a great tool. I have had absolutely no surprises or failures with this machine. Adjustments are easy, the surfaces are perfect, and the unit is constructed solidly. I am very glad I bought this machine, because I love using it, and I keep finding things to use it for. For cleaning up pieces quickly or removing material when doing remodel work, alterations or funky projects, it has proved invaluable. I have made a mountain of wood shavings with this baby, and it has proven to be tough and a true performer. The only thing I would say may be an issue is the side cover. I have seen it break on other planers of the same model. This breakage occurred from falling off a workbench onto a concrete floor, landing on the cover. Certainly not the planer's fault. I am not sure what Makita can do about this issue. I suspect it is better to replace a cracked cover than to risk having a dented metal cover contact and foul up the mechanical internal parts it is supposed to protect. The best remedy would be to not drop your tools from any height onto concrete. I am sure it says this in the manual someplace. This machine performs flawlessly. I have used it to plane crooked doors, straighten lumber, remove excess material from a host of materials in many different applications. I have used the unit to correct measurement mistakes and "adjust" features on work pieces and other projects. I work a lot with scrap, recycled, and found lumber, and have never lived in a house that was square anywhere. This planer has helped me fine tune constructed pieces to fit in the weird places they need to. I used to have problems getting straight cuts and joints, and I used the planer to clean them up (I am a lot better at this now, thanks to some tips, practice and better tools).I most recently I used the machine to straighten a 14 foot 6x6 post for use in building a loft in my shop. I got the post at a local lumber mill for pennies on the dollar because it was crooked and a little corkscrewed. With a little time and a little artistry, I got the thing straight enough to use as a support post. Not bad for a modest little 3 1/4" hand planer! I regularly use the machine in its deepest depth setting, and it is always more than capable of cutting without bogging.I have never had any problems with this unit, and highly recommend it. I can also attest to having witnessed this machine in use at many professional jobsites and in many shops. I've never heard anything but praise for the little Makita planer. It is versatile, well priced, and dependable. I do not anticipate having to purchase another unless this one is stolen. I use it occasionally, so I am confident it will last me forever. That said, I would not hesitate to buy this unit again. I am considering buying a larger unit to do different tasks, but will keep this one handy. It is the best at what it does, and I have found it capable of doing way more than I anticipated.A true pleasure to use, and a great buy at the price. This is a great tool.

5Top Quality
By George F. Kane
I bought this planner after first buying a "bargain brand". I first came upon this planer on a construction site over twenty years ago. I don't know if it's the very same model as then, but they still make a Makita sander that looks like mine and it's going on 18 years old too. I like Makita quality. They seem to get the design right and stick with it. This planner worked great right out of the box. In fact, it planed so quickly, that I wanted to use it more to get a better feel for the tool, but the job was already done. It was smooth and no tear out. I use it primarily to pre plane boards that have a twist or have excessive bow, before feeding into my surface planer or jointer. The carpenters I knew, used to plane doors to fit after the house had settled and the doors started sticking. The depth of cut adjustment will determine wether you take a lot or a little off on one pass. Shallow passes repeated is usually best for a smooth finish, but I take larger bites when I'm planing for rough dimentioning. Oh, by the way, the very reasonable price makes this planer an excellent choice.

5This Set Rox!
By A Customer
This set is small but fun. It's cool how it has injured Anakin Skywalker and capeless (not that its a bad thing!) Darth Vader minifigs when they are in fact the same person! The dinky little Medical Droid comes with tools and you can have it drilling Anakin or Vader. Heres a little trick you can do with the minifigs:Take of the heads of the minifigs. Then put injured Anakin's head on Darth Vader's body. Have the Med Droid hold Darth Vaders helmet. Than you can do the part of the film when the helmet gets put on Vader. Good things come in small packages, and this set is no exception.

3Interesting, But Not Worth It...
By Evan S.
Surprisingly, I never saw this set until a few days after I saw the movie, and I was thinking this would be a good LEGO set. Turns out, LEGO was a little lazy I guess. Also, this is not a good display set. The operation table is acually supposed to be a bit larger compared to the minifig, though I should complain, since isn't usually all that correct in size. Instead of calling lots of Star Wars sets "minifig scale," I came up with the term "SW System Scale," since almost all Star Wars sets are slightly smaller than they should be, and this set is no exception. Anyway, back to the LEGO. It would have been nice if LEGO spent a bit more time on the table, 1 or 2 more medical droids, and maybe a bit more scenery. Also, this set does not have a completely strong color scheme, most of it in the movie is black or grey, not brown or tan. If all this was fixed, at a $15 price, it would turn out nicely, compared to the somewhat cheap $10 set we actually get. Then it would be worth it. About the minifigs, it would be nice for parts if Vader had a cape and lightsaber, but those were not in this part of the movie, so point for LEGO in accuracy there. Unfortunately, LEGO lost this point by not removing Anakin's legs and an arm like in the movie. But, if that was the case, play value would drop. But for parts, this good a pretty good set. Droid arms are always useful, and so are other pieces in this set. So, if you want a good $10 set, don't get this, get the LEGO Clone Scout Walker, much better set. Hope my review helped.

5A little set with great value
By Oliver Hardy Jr.
Darth Vader's Transformation is an interesting little set that includes minifigures of Anakin and Darth Vader and shows the transformation. The main reason I bought this set was for Darth Vader. I have always wanted one and this was the cheapest way to get him. So for only seven bucks it's not too bad. Also, you get an Episode Three Anakin. Just add some hair and he's good to go. I made my own Episode Three sets so Anakin was a good bonus. The Set itself is pretty simple. Put the burnt Anakin on one side, Darth Vader on the other and then turn the spinner. The medical droid is pretty neat as you can have him drilling Darth Vader's suit. It's pretty small and compact, which appeals to me as I like little sets. This set gives you a cheap chance to get two great minifigures; though the set itself is pretty good.

4Good lightweight portable miter saw for the cost
By A polymath
I purchased this miter saw to use for general stick framing carpentry and for simple small-trim trim carpentry. I move all my tools via truck to a different job site each day, so portability was important to me. Previously I was using a Bosch 3915 (stolen) which was a great saw in all respects, but it was large, heavy and feature laden; and best suited as an in-shop woodworking saw or for extensive on-site finish carpentry jobs. The Makita LS1040F is small and light; and it has plenty of power. It was accurate out of the box and in my experience it stays accurate with heavy use. It comes with a decent 40T carbide Makita blade suitable for framing work. It is quite spartan and toy-like compared to a higher end Bosch. It has a relatively small platform and it will just barely cut 2x6 nominal lumber at a 90 degree miter angle. The plastic kerf plate and miter angle indicator stand out as cheap plastic parts. The dust bag gets in the way because it is positioned too low and too horizontal. I haven't really used the florescent light, although it might be useful if you were sawing lumber in a dark hallway somewhere. The light seems to be of decent quality and design, but I'm not sure if it is worth the extra $20. I very much appreciate the built-in carrying handle at the top of the saw. For the money this is an very good lightweight, portable, accurate compound miter saw.

5excellent saw
By P. Carroll
Excellent saw - lightweight, yet well made. I also bought the 80 tooth Makita blade and used it a lot this past weekend cutting moulding and baseboards. This combo worked very well; angles were right on the money right out of the box. As others have mentioned, there is a bit of a kickback when the motor kicks in as you start to lower the blade, but it's no big deal. The only way it could be better otherwise would be if it had a dual bevel, but that's twice as much money, and more weight.

By Michael G. Russell
Nicely made miter saw - accurate and easy to use. Would buy again. The main limitation is the 6 inch max width - make sure you can live with this before you buy.One small gripe, the electronic brake worked great about two times - so now it coasts to a halt instead of stopping smartly, but hey, that's what the guard is for.

5An AT-AT with Wheels
By The 747 Gambit
There's one number that stands out after you dump the contents of the Clone Turbo Tank out on the table: 801. Eight-hundred and one, as in, how many pieces just spilled out of the box. For those not familiar with LEGOs, well, it's probably the most LEGOs you've seen at once that have yet to become something. It's daunting and a bit mind-boggling.That being said, once all the pieces come together (and they will, somewhere around two hours later), you'll doubtlessly be pleased: you've got yourself an AT-AT with wheels, ready to roll over Seperatists with the vanguard of the Clone Army. The Clone Turbo Tank is oddly named; as I said before, it's an AT-AT with wheels. Perhaps somebody got tired of the pantheon of walker acronyms in the Star Wars universe (AT-ST, AT-TE, AT-AT, AAT), and said "okay, okay, enough with the acronyms!" I suppose you could call it the CTT - but don't, it's not a walker. It's a tank - a turbo tank. The set itself is nothing short of amazing. The main set piece, the tank, is huge and trundles along with ten big wheels on four axles. The suspension is really neat, allowing the tank's body to roll on either side to nearly a 45 degree angle. I guess that's necessary for all the high-speed 'turbo' turns the tank will be making on the battlefield. The body is sturdy and covered with access plates; you can access the cockpit, the engine, the troop bay, and the rear utility area easily. The troop bay is massive - I haven't tried, but you could probably stuff ten troops in there. The cockpit has two seats, for whoever you make driver and General Veers.*As for armament, the turbo tank has plenty. Apparently designed for wading into the midst of enemy formations, it has dual-mounted heavy blasters in the front and rear. For dealing with pesky starfighters, there's a cockpit-mounted turret and another mounted on the spine.A unique aspect of the turbo tank is its "crow's nest", an adjustable lookout post located towards the rear. I don't know what kind of Clone Trooper would want to be up there - anyone in the lookout post is a choice target. The set comes with binoculars, so whichever clone trooper has been bad, give him the binoculars and tell him, "lookout post." He'll think twice before misbehaving in the future. The set also comes with two other pieces of equipment - a speeder and a turret. The speeder is a nice add-on, and gives LEGO the excuse to package the BARC Trooper (a light green version of the famous Scout Trooper) with the set. The turret is reminiscent of the turrets in Empire Strikes Back, the ones that did such a very poor job of stopping the AT-ATs. Since the set's picture depicts a Battle Droid operating the turret, it's safe to say it will also do a poor job of stopping the Clone Turbo Tank. Finally, the set includes a good variety of mini-figures. We get light-up lightsaber Mace Windu, yellow-pauldroned Clone Trooper (according to Star Wars lore, he's an officer), regular Clone Trooper, Jet Clone Trooper (this guy looks like he has the most fun of any Clone Trooper, ever), the aforementioned BARC Trooper, and the ever-inept duo of Battle Droids. My only real complaint with this set is there is no driver - obviously, anyone can sit in the cockpit, but having an AT-AT driver-style driver would have been nice. So, if you find an AT-AT with wheels an attractive concept, swallow the $90 USD price tag and get rolling, Trooper!* Set does not include General Veers.

5This toy ROCKS!!!!!!!!
By A Customer
The Clone Turbo Tank is an awesome toy! It comes with two battle droids, a Master Windu minifigure with a light-up lightsaber, four clones (one scout, two regular and one with an orange stripe). The scout trooper gets a speeder bike that you build! The droids get a blaster, tri-pod gun, and a turret. The tank itself is EXTREAMLY durable! It will only break if you crash it or drop somthing heavy on it.The tank has an ajustable turret. The only problem is that the clone keeps falling out if you go too fast.Overall I'd give this toy a 1,000,000,000 if the scale was that high. This is a great toy, it will give you tons of fun!

5An overal good lego
By A Customer
As you may know already legos are very well made and high quality. I started in my lego collection with the rebel snow speeder. Then I saw this one. Then I price......my jaw dropped. $90 dollars for a tank. after some research though I this toy looked very fun and very, very very durable for a lego. I also like the little minifigures. The Mace Windu guy haas the "glow" lightsaber. It was funny pushing his head but the lightsaber is unitachible. It comes with many clones and things to do. But the only problem seems to be (as seen in other reviews) the scope thing doesn't seem to be that good. People say that it repeatidly falls over although I've never had that problem. Over all the turbo tank is very fun to play with and it is a great collection. But please remember if your reading this and your under 8 you my have some trouble doing it by yourself.

5Great Saw
By M. Luckenbach
This tool does what it says. Cuts any light metal like a skill saw cuts wood. Collects most of the fillings in the hopper which is easily dumped. I've used it on 26 ga, 16 ga, and 14 ga metal. Yesterday I cut 3/8 rebar with no problem. Great clean cuts on all material.

4Easily cuts rebar
By Doug W.
I've used this saw for about 1 1/2 years. I've cut lots of #4 and #5 rebar with it. It's very fast compared to using a reciprocating saw. And, unlike an abrasive chop saw, it does not make a dust cloud. The blade guard makes it tough to see where it's cutting, otherwise I'd give it 5 stars.

5Great toy!!! But has seat belt issues!!
By Mrs Jean
We bought this car for my sons first birthday. He loves it and has a great deal of fun with it. Well worth the money and very durable. The only thing I would point out is that the seatbelt is only held by velcro and it took my son less than 5 min to figure out how to undo it. We resolved the problem by adding a clasp to the belt (like you see on the baskets at the grocery store) and it only cost about $2.00 for the modification.

5Great Toy for a First Birthday!!!
By Xanders Mommy
My son just received this little powered car for his first birthday and he just loves it! He will not leave this thing alone, he just plays with it all day long. I thought maybe he was going to be a little young for it at first but he is not at all! He gets in and pushes the button to go by himself and when we take him for walks in it outside we use the bar and power and steer it ourselves and he just laughs the whole time. I would definently recommend this car to anybody, it was my sons favorite toy out of everything he received. It seems very durable, was not complicated to put together and was worth every penny!

4COZY DOG HOUSE
By Bari S.
Petmate Cool Cot House Medium Olive for dogs up to 75 pounds. Great idea, especially for the price. All parts are replaceable excpet for the canvass cover. Mine a arrived with a broken zipper and the manufacturer asked that I take pictures and return it. Too much trouble. Regardless, still pretty happy with the product and so is the dog.

4Fire Truck Lover's Dream
By H. Lee
We purchased this scooter for our son's 3rd birthday. He is approximately 40 inches tall and the scooter fits him well (good handle height, nice size footboard for both size 11 feet). The wheels are good quality, but are properly designed to not roll quickly. This allows my beginner to be able to get a nice flow while pushing with his feet, but coasting is at most a few inches before the stroller rolls to a stop...even on a slight incline - WHICH IS GREAT!When my son holds onto the scooter and starts pushing his hands inevitably twist the handle bars which (much to his delight) starts the sirens and flashing lights. A nice touch for a young child's scooter. My son is infatuated with fire trucks and this scooter was a perfect fit.Highly recommended for boys who love fire trucks.Strong recommendation for a beginners scooter for boys.

3Could be built better..but still good
By louisianagirl01
We bought this for our 3yr old son for Christmas(2010) and I was disappointed in the quality of this product. We bought his twin sister a 3 wheel Dora scooter also and it is way better built and 1/2 the price! Did our little boy love it yes! and still does, but we have allowed him to use it inside and kept it out of the weather. Nothing has broke on it. I feel you are paying just for the look of it not durability
