great reel

easy controls. very strong. i've pulled out large bass and you can crank the fish to the top with ease. combined with the right line, you can cast this thing a mile. i've made it past 90 yards fishin with a guide out of port o'conner. works well in the wind. of course if you cast directly into the wind you're gonna backlash. it doesn't remove the need to be able to throw a baitcaster... it is a beautiful reel. matched with a great rod i get compliments on looks alone. as for durability, after using one time, my friend was admiring and dropped directly on the concrete. i kicked him in the nuts, picked up my reel...and it worked the same just with a few new character marks.digital works well. allows for cast control and distance in varying conditions. you can use more brake and reduce the backlash until you get more used to it. but simply put, this will reduce your backlashing and increase your fishing time.i found mine through an amazon reseller for about 330. the size is larger than the low profile bait casters. and i own many reels. this is by far my favorite.

Great surf rod for the performance at this price point. Good action with a strong back bone for long casts and larger game fish on the beach like large pompanos, redfish, jack crevalles, big blues and stripers.

This winter steelhead rod provides the extra power necessary to fish higher water conditions and swifter currents. On average, winter steelies run larger than their summer cousins, so the extra backbone is a big advantage. Rated for up to 17-pound line, the 1025C is beefy enough for Chinooks, but better suited for chums, sockeyes and cohos. This rod was designed for winter steelhead where sensitivity is important. On the average, winter-run steelhead run larger than their summer cousins and more power is better. Rated for up to 17 pound line, it' s strong enough for kings, but is better suited for Silvers, Chums or Sockeye. I own several so I knew what I was getting. Excellent choice for winter run Steelhead. Use this one for back bouncing skein. Sensitivity allows for detection of subtle bites. Eyelets are large enough to minimize icing problems, however in certain instances it still does occur.The tip has enough pliability and have never had problem requiring replacement on any Loomis rod I own.As a side bar, for any Walleye fisherman, the Walleye series are phenomenal jigging rods. Really quick on the set, even in deep (40 plus) feet of water. I have several other Walleye rods and for jigging you can really see the difference.

Same specs here as on the 1082C, only in a spinning rod. Perfect for summer-run steelies in low, clear water conditions and 6 to 8-pound line. A nice light-duty summer-run steelhead spinning rod, designed to fish 6 & 8-pound line and small sinkers in low, clear water. It has a light, responsive tip with a soft mid-section that allows you to make delicate casts with small lures or bait to spooky fish. There's still plenty of power in the butt-section so you can handle "oversized surprises". It's a really good choice for casting small spoons and spinners on big water and you'll appreciate the extra casting distance you can achieve for casting lures for rainbows or browns from shore on the Great lakes or other big freshwater impoundments.

Security and Automation that you can DIY

My career is in IT so I am no stranger to electronics and tinkering. I decided to bite off a security system, but being the nerd I am I also wanted to play with some automation. This is one of the few controllers that can truly do almost anything and you don't need a bunch of PCs and external relays to make it work. Although, if that's what you are into it will do that as well. HAI is professional level hardware, but they have made documentation and online training very accesible and the help files that come with the dealer software are excellent. Take your time to spec out your system and if you have a knack for simple electronics you will LOVE this gear. This is my first security system and I did 2 keypads, 2 thermostats, motion sensors, glass break sensors, door sensors, smoke detectors, garage door opener, UPB switches, UPB outlets,etc. I would highly recomend this system to anyone.

Excellent very solid phone--we love it!

Unlike the reviewer whose phone was made of "light plastic," ours certainly is not. In fact, it weighs a hefty 55 ounces, 3 and a half pounds. It rivals the phone of my childhood in being as heavy and as solidly constructed as the original was. It also has a volume control under the base which the original did not. In short, it's not only a trip down memory lane, but a solid instrument as well--rare in these days of cheap phones. It goes beautifully with my rolltop desk and lifts my spirits as well. Modern convenience with a traditional flavor leads us to say, we love it! We think you will, too!

Love This Phone

We built a new house and specifically had a place in a wall built just for this phone. It is just like my grandmother's. When I saw this phone available, I ordered it and I love it. It's not our main functioning phone, but I use it often. It is a real conversation piece for youngsters that have only experienced todays phones. It works great and I love the looks of it. The ringer even sounds like the old phones. I've wanted one like this for as long as I can remember.

Love this phone.

I have always wanted a phone that looked like something they used on the Waltons. Now I have it. My kids think it's a kick, and we have a history lesson every time we use it. With things so high tech, it's nice to bring a little of our telephone past into my home. The sound is great, as are the redial and flash features.
