Oops-Measure Twice-Cut Once

I made the mistake in ordering this board with the "Quickness" when I found it at such a good deal plus free shipping! And it didn't help that the web site stated there was only One Left! I could get it before Christmas. And that it matched my measurements exactly the way I wanted it to lay on my counter top. But...When a rectangle is measured it can be measured in different ways. So My LxW was 23.75" Long (Holding your arms open sideways)and x 17.25" (From edge of counter to back splash).In Reality. The actual measurements of this Beautiful Board are:17.25" Long (Holding your arms open sideways).And 23.75" (From front of counter to back splash. Or one could say deep, or depth). But in this case it's LENGTH.Anyway it will still fit, but it doesn't look as good as it could.I will be removing the 2 Lips from the ends of the board and pick up some maple and cut a couple pieces 23.75" long, and attach them.And the 2pcs that I removed, I will just make a 17.25" square board.Remember that saying...."Measure Twice Cut Once" :)

WE HAVE HAD A bOOS CUTTING BOARD FOR ALMOST 30 YEARS UNTIL WE DROPPED IT ONE TO MANY TIMES, THIS ONE IS LARGER AND HEAVY DUTY, USE IT EVERYDAY AND QUALITY IS STILL THE BEST
