We have purchased three of the 14.25" model of this prop to run on a 200HP Alpha One. One was on the boat and the other is in readiness as a spare. The third is on order to replace the first, but read on... The prop seems to perform well and run smoothly. You can find it online for slightly more than $80, which makes it impractical to refurb it - it's almost as cheap to just replace it. It uses the XHS plastic sleeve hub which is a hub with an inexpensive, replaceable plastic sleeve which is intended to save your prop if you hit something, which we did... the other day we pulling up to plane and suddenly there was a thud and then the engine raced as though the outdrive had slipped out of gear. The object we hit was probably part of a submerged tree or a log by the sound of it - it didn't sound hard like a rock. Anyway, I pulled up the outdrive and checked the prop from the boat - the blades were all intact but when I tried to give it power it would slip. We limped back to the dock at 5 mph and when we got home I looked more closely at the prop. I could see we had indeed struck something by the rub marks in the paint, and a small dent on one blade, so I pulled the prop and yes, the plastic sleeve had sacrificed itself to save the prop. Only it didn't - a closer inspection showed a crack at the base of one of the blades, so this prop is headed for metals recycling. So my only complaint is that the plastic sleeve didn't do its job - not completely, anyway. Other than that I am happy with the prop and have ordered another of the same kind to replace it.
