I prefer pedal bins to touch ones not only because they are easier to use but also because they are more sanitary. My kitchen is in cherry-wood with brushed-steel appliances so this was a perfect choice. However, this design is so subtle that I think it will compliment any kitchen.The mechanism works fine for over two years now and the brushed-steel surface is indeed fingerprint-proof.And I really love the retro domed cover.RECOMMENDED.
