I was hesitant at first at spending the money on this clamp. You can buy two cheaper clamps for the same price. But, "you get what you paid for" usually holds true, especially in tools. So I pulled the trigger and ordered this little Bessey. My first impression was that of relief. I knew I had made the right decision of spending the extra money. This thing is built solid. You should never have to worry about it wearing out under normal use. It's swiveling head allows it to easily and accurately clamp two materials of different sizes together. I would love to have a set of these in several different sizes to fit all my needs but am glad I started out with the 7 inch model.

Sturdy cast iron base. The copper clad screw is a must have for welding. The pivit pin and open jaw make it an accurate and versatile tool.

I bought a pair of these clamps and found them extremely helpful when welding up a 1 1/2" square tube aquarium stand. Heavy and solid, these clamps hold the material together at right angles and are adjustable too. Clearly a quality product, and worth the cost.
