5I'd rate this 10 stars if I could!
By M. K. Foley
Marvelous knife!!! Well worth the money. Extremely sharp and well balanced. If you have a larger hand this will fit your hand well. I had this in a different style handle, the classic grip and exchanged it for this handle style.I cannot say enough about this knife! I use it far more than my classic chef's knife. It takes just a few minutes of getting used to how it handles. It can be 'rocked' like a chef's knife, just not quite the same way. Once you get used to this you'll love it. It cuts very cleanly and smoothly. Treat it properly and it will last a lifetime.A well made knife is an essential cook's tool. And this in my book is one of the best made out there.

5Best balanced knife and best knife handle I have ever had!
By Mario Fendry Utama
My wife and I cooks alot and we have been searching a 'perfect' all rounded knife; We found it THE PEFECT knife! We replaced our entire 9-piece knives set with this line of Henkels - Henkels 7" Hollow-Edge Santoku - Henkels 5" Hollow-edge Santoku - 4" Parer - Bread knifePros:Sharp, sturdy and precise. No more eeky food stain and crumps get in between the handle and the blade.Cons:It takes a while to get used the 50/50 blade and handle weight distribution but once you get used it, makes other models or make obselete.

3get a handle!
By K. Thomas
love the blade. the handle, not so much. got the 2 knife set about a year ago (this one w/ the paring knife.) the blades are great, super sharp and cut well. however the handles on both knives cracked in several places after only a few months of TLC care. (hand washing only, handled carefully). I love henkel knives and have used them for years, I will just get them with a different kind of handle in the future. also with this particular model it took me a few weeks to get used to the handle-heavy balance.

4Very good, cost effective, a few issues.
By Smoothie
I have actually just replaced the DT 250-80s after 7 years of service ,so I havd had a long time to become familiar with them.I bought them because I was looking for a sealed can for better work isolation. Were that not an requirement, I'd go open-backed, so I was looking for sealed headphones that had as much as possible of the open and detailed quality that, say, the Grado 80s have. The Beyers don't quite do that, but they are reasonably detailed. The bass is punchy and articulate, with a sense of pace pressure that differentiates the sound from open cans. That said, this is probably due in part to an exaggerated mid-bass. I don't hugely mind this, as music benefits in terms of rhythm and pace, but I wouldn't call the bass range uncolored. The treble is good overall. However, like a mirror image of the bass, it's a little exaggerated in the lower treble. This is good news bad news, as it provides sibilance and articulation, but at the expense of neutrality, transparency and soundstage detail. The result of these bass and treble lumps is that the DT 250-80s has some very appealing rhythmic qualities. Your toes will tap. They just aren't the last word in detail, soundstage or neutrality.Issues:Fatigue both aural and physical. The treble peak above gets pretty tiring after a few hours. About the same time for me, my outer ears started to ache from the pad pressure. These are not circumaural, they will press on some part of your ear, depending on how you fiddle with them. For an hour, maybe two, no problem. Beyond that, a break was required.Construction. The earpiece is attached to headband with a swivel mechanism. The attachment between the earpiece and the swivel mechanism is a tiny, short screw, that after a few years, would continue to unscrew itself, and would often drop out. Then, typically during a sweet, quiet passage, the ear piece would pop out, the sharp end of the swivel would jab me in the temple, and I'd jump up knocking my coffee into my keyboard. OK, the last part only happened once, but that screw came out a half dozen times. This one little thing was poorly engineered, and it was quite frustrating.Have moved on to the new KRK Systems KNS-8400. Also sealed, similar price point ($150 US). They are similar is some respects to the Beyers, but improve in some key areas: overall balance, comfort (fully circumaural) and long term listenability. I think at this point the DT 250-80 have been superceded technologically, but I'd still recommend them if you can find them for a good price.

5Beyerdynamic DT-250
By Mr. H. C. Orr
I recently purchased these headphones as a replacement to my beloved Sony MDR-V500DJs, which had eventually given up the ghost. I use them mainly with my PC for listening to music, using the internet, and playing games. Therefore, I didn't envisage buying these as professional-grade monitoring equipment.First of all, I've read in a couple of reviews about the "odd" seven-pin detahable cable, which is secured to the headphone unit by a small screw. It's true that the separate nature of the cable does seem odd at first, but considering that cables can get damaged and that this one can therefore be easily replaced for about £25 without buying an entire new set of cans, it's actually reassuring. Another reassuring thing is the large, proud writing on the box and the headphones themselves declaring "MADE IN GERMANY"; where something is made is always very important to me, because it's that extra guarantee that it will last and has been made with high-quality materials.Closed-back headphones are often bought by non-professionals because they don't want sound leaking from the unit. These seem to contain sound very well within their velour-cushioned earpads (which, like the cable, also have official spares available online). The adjustable headband is not smothered with protective material, but it's comfortable enough. Most important, of course, is the sound quality that any audio equipment produces. I always find it acutely difficult to buy any audio equipment without listening to it first, because the tastes of individuals reviewing things like this vary so widely. Some people love accentuated bass, some hate it. Some people say that the sound is coloured by certain cans and hate it, some love them for just that. (Just look up reviews of a range such as Grado's headphones to see what I mean.)In any case, I really love the deep and balanced sound that these DT-250s provide. Being studio headphones, it has been commented that they will mercilessly expose the flaws in any recording; I've certainly found this true with these, at least when comparing them to the Grado 225is I use with my hifi. I don't see this as such a bad thing: to give as flat and neutral sound as possible is certainly no worse than accentuating certain aspects of a sound range to sweeten it, and it always seems a fairer way to represent something audially. The 80 OHM impedence may not give quite the same kick as some other headphones, but they are more than loud enough when used to listen to music from a PC, the muffled sound that I got from my deceased Sonys when cranking up the preamp on a player such as iTunes has been reduced greatly.I really like these headphones. As you may have guessed, I'm no audiophile; but a balanced -if admittedly sometimes coldly analytical- sound, excellent sound isolation, good build quality and decent comfort levels means that, to me at least, these headphones tick the boxes required for a good pair of PC headphones.

4Decent travelling cans
By C. Julian
These earphones are interesting.Pro: They are sealed, circumaural cans, and the 80-ohm version (the DT 250-80) is easily driven by portable electronics.Con: The cans themselves are not all that portable, as they're full-sized and don't fold.Pro: The cord is detachable.Con: The plug connecting it to the phones is HUGE (about 2 inches long), and the company (or anyone else, for that matter) does not make any cables for this headset except for the stock cable, making a detachable cable pretty pointless. You get the idea. Sonically, these things are very good for sealed cans, and I carry them regularly with my MP3 player for travel. Although the external noise blocking is not as good as that provided by earplug-type headphones (such as Etymotic 4 series, another of my favorites) it is quite good, and the phones are useable on airplanes. If you want a full-sized set of headphones that can run off a portable, I would recommend these.

4Not for everyone , but the best
By R. Ammon
I am an assistant to an executive chef and instructor at one of the top ten culinray schools in the country. Althought I am not a professional myself, I find that using top equipment makes the differences. This knife speaks for itself. The edge has remainded true without a lot of fuss. The ease of use is something else. If used correctly you can slice and dice all day. The only drawback is the weight. Some might fine it a little heavy at first, but stick with it, the wait will be worth it. Excellant knife

5Love it!
By M. K. Foley
This is a great knife! Very well made and does the job! I had the Wusthoff top of their line chef's knife and exchanged it for this one. This knife to me was sharper and better balanced. And this style handle fits my hand well. If you have a larger hand you may find this grip more comfortable. Although I do own a few hand forged Wusthoff knives, in my opinion Henckels makes a better knife.

5great for tall women
By hope beverly
I am 5'10", with hands to match. Knives with the traditional handle are just too small and my hands cramp up if I have to use them for a while. The handles on these are thick and solid and ergonomically curved. Great for a woman with larger hands or your average guy. Wouldn't recommend them for a small woman because of the handle size and because they are a heavier knife overall. My only negative with these knives is that they don't have an ID on the end of the handle the way another company (is it Wustof?) does, which makes it easy to find the knife you want without pulling them out to check.

4Quiet operation, simple installation, inexpensive if you don't mind plastic
By Bill
Chrome versions of this product are used at my workplace and they operate well. Didn't realize they were made of plastic as this isn't mentioned anywhere in the description. The "satin" finish is a faux brushed finish on the plastic spout. Still, it's reasonably well made and works silently. After installing one to see how it works and if the quality meets my needs, I ordered 2 more. I'd rather have metal spouts, but the price for metal automatic soap dispensers is over $300, four times what this one costs.Originally couldn't find the soap I wanted from the dispenser vendor so I ordered it from another vendor. That ended up costing a lot in shipping. On my 2nd order I bought the dispensers and soap from the same vendor and shipping was much more reasonable.Bottom line: though plastic, these units should hold up; the price is good; they are quiet; they operate flawlessly. Recommended.

By Shelley
We just moved from a big house that had a big fireplace with a mantel to a super small house perfect for 3 with no room or place for stockings, with older kids off to college I still wanted to display their stockings for when they came over, day after Xmas, so this was the PERFECT stand for 5 stockings and room for 1 more. It was pretty and sturdy even with all the goodies inside (:

Audix OM6 Song Writer Dynamic Vocal Microphone Product Description:

Product Description

If you're a great singer, why get a mic that changes the way you sound? If you want absolute clarity and unbelievably natural pickup, you choose the Audix OM-6. And with a nice, tight pickup pattern, you can be sure your OM-6 is picking up you (and only you!) and helping your performances avoid that nasty, nasty feedback. What else can we tell you about the Audix OM-6? Here's one thing. See how it has that nice, discreet black finish? That keeps the focus on the singer, not on the microphone. And Audix even went so far as to make the finish scratch-resistant so it keeps looking great - the steel grille too.

5I Love this mic!!!
By Secret Squirrel PDX-Girl
I have had this mic for well over a year now, and I am thrilled with it.In a live setting, this mic really helps vocals sit a little higher in the mix. In other words, I have noticed that my vocals come through in a more defined way that allows it to be heard over the music. As for build quality, the mic is solid, sturdy, with a nice feel. (and while we are on the subject, she's pretty easy on the eyes as well... that counts too, right?)I also have a modest home studio, and since I do not yet own a condenser mic, have used this mic to record vocals into Logic9 via the Apogee Duet. This thing sounds great in a recording capacity as well- and although I would love to record with a condenser, the Om6 dynamic is probably a better option anyway, since I don't have any kind of soundproofing in the room where I record. (Condensers pick up EVERYTHING... the neighbor's dog, traffic, the clock the wall... everything...)Anyway, my impression, not being a "golden-eared" sound expert, is that this mic is true to my voice, and sounds natural. It also sounds nice recording my accoustic, and while I have played a little bit with hooking it up to the amp/electric, mostly I have recorded my guitar and vocals. Finally, unlike other close contenders (the shure58 being one of them), this mic is made in Oregon, as opposed to being built overseas. I have also been told that should the mic get damaged in some way, Audix will replace the "innards" for a reasonable fee...I am so impressed with this mic, that I will always look to Audix first when mic shopping. (And no, I don't work for Audix;)...I am merely impressed with the OM6, and want more folks to know... Great dynamic mic!The bottom line is that both in a live and recording capacity, I am so glad to have this mic around.

3not worth the extra $
By Dolson
I did a side-by-side comparison with a Shure SM58 and the Audix and could not hear any difference, altho I did not use it in a "live" situation (used headphones and a high-quality mixer). It definitely had less volume. I can't see paying more than twice as much for the Audix.

4Nice all-around lens for Digital Rebel
By D. Smith
I love taking photos, but I hate carrying lots of equipment when photography is not the focus of my journey, so I looked to find a lens that was light, inexpensive, a useful focal range and decent sharpness given all of the above. I believe the Tamron fits the bill.Although this lens will not win any points with 'L'-series purists, I found it to be a very useful - and lightweight - lens. Sure, it's slow... Sure - it has a plastic mount... Sure - it's not as sharp as a lot of lenses with smaller zoom ranges and bigger price tags... But for most people who aren't looking for poster-sized enlargements, a lens that won't break your shoulder or your bank account like the Tamron is a good fit. I have used this lens for a few weeks now, and have compared the results to the excellent Tamron 28-75 2.8 XR Di, the Canon 50mm 1.8 (the 'plastic fantastic'), and the kit lens. It does lack the tack-sharpness of the 50mm and the 28-75, but it is still very acceptable. The reach is what will 'wow' you about the lens. Outdoors in decent light you can really pull your subject up close. In a photo taken from the 6th story of a beach hotel, I was able to clearly read a standard beach umbrella-rental sign that was approx. 500 yards away. Indoors, this lens is just too slow to be useful at full zoom, but does reasonably well between 28-100mm with built-in flash (just be sure to remove the lens hood or it will shadow the lower part of the frame) and even better with an external flash (I use the EX550). The focus is quick and quiet in decent lighting, but it will hunt in darker scenes. In short, if you want a lens that offers reasonable sharpness, an incredible focal range, lightness and compactness at an attractive price, then consider this lens. You may find, as I did, that it will let you take that long lens with you instead of leaving your gear behind... I would much rather have a picture that may not be 'as sharp' than the one I did not take because I left the two pound lens behind.

5If you buy just one lens, this is it.
By Lydia Lee
When I got my dslr, I did not get the "kit" lens. I wanted immediately to be able to take both macro and zoom shots, and I didn't have money for more than one good quality lens. So I researched and read reviews online and when I bought my new camera, I got the Tamron 28-300. I made a great choice. If you buy just one lens; this lens is it.This lens' macro shots are clear and detailed. For example, in a picture I recently took of my Pomeranian each individual hair that sticks up is visible and clear, strand by strand. The versatility of the lens allows me to take landscape pictures, photos of birds in my yard, portraits, nearly whatever strikes me. Every time they are crisp and the colors are good.I love this lens; it is still my primary lens.

5Great quality, terrific value
By Gadgester
(Tamron also makes this lens available for Canon and Pentax digital SLRs, for the same price.)This new digital SLR-friendly zoom lens from Tamron is a great way to acquire a high-quality zoom lens for a fraction of the cost if you bought from the camera maker (e.g., Nikkor). Tamron claims this is world's "smallest and lightest" zoom lens for the focal range. I have no idea if that's true. It's small and lightweight indeed, about the same size as the DX lens bundled with the Nikon D70 but feels lighter in the hand. To my eyes it's a plastic lens, but this made-in-Japan lens looks and feels solid. It has all the bells and whistles of a modern lens: XR, LD, asperical, plus macro capability. In real world shooting I'm very happy with the result, and I really don't think buying an official Nikkor lens would make much of a difference. Two things to keep in mind is, 1) as long as you buy a namebrand lens (Tamron, Sigma, and maybe Vivitar) you are getting a good deal, and 2) the marginal increase in lens quality (perceived or real) from the camera maker is extremely unlikely to improve pictures by any discernible amount. Give Ansel Adams a disposable camera and he would still take better pics than you and me, period. As long as you have a high quality, capable lens like this Tamron, you are armed with all the gear you need to NOT miss a great picture opportunity. The only ingredient nobody can sell, is your creativity. (Unfortunately the latter is what I lack and try to improve. For now, at least the Tamron is giving me the right tool.)For digital Nikon SLRs, the 1.5 "magnification" factor (or crop factor) means the effective focal length of this Tamron is about 43-460mm in 35mm equivalent. In short, this is a really top-quality lens that any Nikon D70 enthusiast should consider. It's a lot bang for the buck, and it's even made in Japan unlike many Nikon official lenses which are made in sweatshops in Southeast Asia.

4Pickup good - preamp great!
By Eric M. VanWagner
This thing is perfect for church (or other live venue) pianos: sounds good and is almost invisible. The pickup - if placed right (you NEED to experiment with it) - sounds great live and reduces bleed. But what is really cool is that the preamp alone is an AMAZING buffer amp for instruments with piezo pickups: upright bass, guitar, violin - anything sounds great through this because of it's wide frequency response. Great for the studio!

5This Player rocks!
By Ajay
Nice little mp3 player, solid and small. I got mine from Amazon for $108, Newegg didn't have it in stock at the time:-( Anyway great little mp3 player, I was considering the Creative Muvo N200 and the Muvo TX FM both 512MB models, both have radio also and cost about the same as the sandisk, the N200 has a line in, the TX FM doesn't. The Muvo TX FM can also be used as a flash drive for moving files of any type and does not need a cable to connect to a pc. They are nice products, but after I saw them in a store I realized that they were too small and the screens were microscopic.I have perfect eye sight but I am so accustomed to my Iriver IMP-350's nice remote with good display size( a CD MP3 player). I looked at the manuals of the creative Muvo's and the sandisk SDMX1-512 and was able to see that the interface and menus of the Sandisk player was superior to the Creative Muvo's. [...] I also considered the Iriver flash players, but they were too expensive(still are). I have only used my Sandisk player for 2 days now and it has given me no problems. The file transfer is very fast and the battery life seems pretty good so far. The battery is at 3/4 bars after 2 days of use, and it's the cheap alkaline battery that came with the player. I have one complaint, I wish it came with a neck strap like the creative Muvo's. I used a strap from an old pair of sun glasses. It comes with a nice clear plastic protective case and a set of cheap air phones, plus a nice velcro arm strap for all you joggers. The quick start manual is ok, the full manual if on the CD or the website. It's got a nice backlight and clear screen, sound quality is excellent and radio reception is very good, better than my Iriver IMP-350's reception. The CD comes with musicmatch jukeboox version 9, I didn't even install it, it's crap, stick with winamp or media player. You don't have to install any drivers for windows xp. The entire screen flashes when transferring files, which is super fast. Voice recording is ok, I wish it had radio recording like the creative models though. This player is great and cheap, go for it, you won't be sorry:-)Tuki

4Good MP3 Player and Radio...controls could be better
By Matt Mansfield
I really, really like the Sandisk 512MB MP3 player!I bought this a couple of days ago because I've started running on the treadmill. I was using the old yellow Sony sport armband model that was just a radio, and it was driving me crazy when commercials came on (or a slow song -- death during a workout!).The MP3 player allowed me to load much of my music (ripped to the WMA format to fit more) and the shuffle allows me to start the music and just go, never knowing what's coming next, but always knowing it will rock! The radio is also very nice on this unit. The reception is clear and there are more than enough preset slots to save my stations.Contrary to an earlier comment, I find the size of this unit is just fine for a workout. The unit is also VERY light; I barely noticed it was there. Also, echoing another earlier comment, when copying to the unit, I treated it like a hard drive and just set up folders with my music sorted into the approprate spot. That created playlists. The one issue I have with this MP3 player is in the area on controls, more specifically while I am running. The controls while setting up the unit are actually pretty good (if you have the manual handy...they are not intuitive, but the manual lays it out OK)! They crammed a lot of features into a little package and it has all I need. However, if I want to switch from radio to recorded music or back the other way WHILE running, it is very difficult. That's not usually a big problem though: I'll probably use one method or the other during a workout, so the switch is not a huge issue.Overall, I am very pleased with this player. It is more than worth the significantly lower price I paid for it (vs. say, the iPod). Go for it, you won't be disappointed!

4A runner's perspective
By E. Kurbat
I bought the Sandisk 512 MP3 player for use while running. If you are a runner, you probably already know that the jukebox-style (e.g. Ipod) and CD-style MP3 players don't work well because the constant jarring makes it impossible for the player to read its media. Memory-based units like this one don't have this problem because there are no moving parts to jar. Weight and a rugged case are also considerations. I compared this unit to others made by Apple, Rio, Creative, and iRiver breaking the units down by size, price, capacity, and features. With few minor differences, all of these players look pretty much identical with the exception of the Apple (No display? Are they kidding?), iRiver (AA battery instead of AAA = more battery life), and the Sandisk because it is the least expensive of the bunch. So I bought it, and here's what I've found thus far. I'll break this up into three categories:1. The Player - + It's small and light. I can run with this in my hand and barely notice that I'm carrying it. + Nice sound for an MP3 player. + Good user interface - some people didn't like having to learn it, but I found it quite useful. Particularly since I can listen to the music and adjust the equalizer at the same time. o The construction of the unit does not speak of durability. It is so light, however, that I am not sure if there is enough mass to cause it to break if dropped. I will update after I drop it for the first time - whenever that happens. - Bump for battery in case makes it more difficult to fit into my existing arm-band holder with my cell phone. OK, that sounds like whining. Probably is whining.2. The Headphones - + Nice sound - great bass response for earbuds. + Comfortable to wear. o Cable is shorter for left earbud than right earbud. This kind of assumes that you will be wearing the unit on your left arm and operating it with your right hand. I did not find this to be a plus or a minus, but it might annoy some people (i.e. lefties), so there you have it. - The earbuds have these big bits on the outside that serve no function that I can figure. The problem being that when I go to wipe away sweat, I knock the earbuds out of my ear because I bump the big Frankenbolts sticking out of my ears. For now I am using my old buds from my last player and thinking about taking the bits off with my Dremel. I will update if I ever get to doing that - or if my old buds die.3. The Armband/Cover - + The band is lightweight and relatively comfortable. + The band is made of a fabric that is remarkably breathable. o The band itself, while breathable, seems like it may not hold up to a lot of sweat. I'm holding judgement on this and will re-post if it self-destructs. NOTE: after 6 months the band is still going strong - so perhaps I was wrong on this. - This is probably the cheapest construction that I have ever seem in an MP3 cover bar none. The cover for the player is made of thin vinyl which will not protect the player from anything but scratches. I would've preferred neoprene or silicon rubber to help the player stand up to being dropped. NOTE: after 6 months, the problem has not been breakage of the player due to bashing, but the snaps have begun to rust from sweat. While they're still functional, it doesn't look very nice.UPDATE: A few people have suggested the ROM update - I have to agree. The player was refusing to take any more songs on it after only filling to around 200 MB. The ROM update is trivial - just another file that you download to the player and then turn it on. Availble at the web page (http://www.sandisk.com/retail/dap-firmware.asp).UPDATE #2: After a couple of weeks worth of use, the unit stopped talking to my computers and was tagged as defective by Sandisk tech support. I sent it in (they pay for FedEx shipping) and after some wrangling (UPS shipment of new unit #1 disappeared from my front porch - perhaps it would be better if they didn't write on the outside of the box what was inside the box?) I received the new unit. This has a different style of headphones (no "frankenbolts") and a version of firmware not currently available on their web page (2.0). Going without the player for a while was a hassle, but they did try to make it less painful by at least paying for shipping and sending a brand new unit as replacement.Update #3: Player #2 stopped talking to my computer just as player #1 did. This time, rather than to waste time with their tech support, I troubleshot it myself and came up with an answer. Turns out that if you re-format the filespace on the device you HAVE to use the FAT (FAT16) filesystem type. Selecting FAT32 is what causes this problem. Here is my solution that I offer completely without warranty for a WinXP system. If you are at all uncomfortable reformatting disks, you should avoid this or get someone who is knowledgable to perform it. If you reformat the wrong disk on your computer, you will definitely break something/lose your data so DO BE CAREFUL:1. Connect the player to the USB port.2. Click on Settings->Control Panel->System Properties3. Click on the Hardware tab and launch the device manager.4. Click on the + icon in front of Disk Drives to expand the selection.5. Right-click on the drive corresponding to the MP3 player and select the Properties menu item.6. Click on the Volumes tab, and then press the Populate button to determine the drive letter.7. Start up a command prompt (Programs->Command Prompt) and enter the following command to reformat the filesystem on the MP3:format : /FS:FAT8. Click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the system tray, select the MP3 player, and click on the stop button.9. Unplug the MP3 player, power it off, and reconnect it to the system.10. MP3 player now appears in Windows Explorer.

5Harder than a reformer!
By Anonymous
I have the Stott chair and the Stott SPX reformer, and I adore both of them. The chair was my first purchase, because it was less expensive and required less room. When I want a hardcore Pilates workout, I choose the chair. Because there is less room for support (the seat versus the bed of the reformer), the chair requires more core strength for correct execution of the practice. Even the footwork is harder on the chair! I would not get a chair without having had formal Pilates apparatus training. If you have had reformer or chair lessons, though, this is a great piece of home equipment.

5Fine quality, workmanship & design
By J. Sims
The finest design and construction. Highest quality materials. Built to last. Amazingly versatile. As others mention, it is more challenging for some exercises than the reformer, but it is great for those wanting sitting or standing up exercises. Fits in a small space. While Stott offers many excellent video & written materials to support the stability chair, I highly recommend a teacher -- at least at first, and then an occasional checkup. It's not about getting old! Keep moving with functional exercises. It is therapy. Or, if you're an athlete, add this to your training and take your performance to a higher level.

4Solid Pilates Chair
By Glenn
After breaking the Malibu Pilates chair spring, I decided to upgrade to a real Pilates Chair. And the Stott Pilates is that and more. It's solid. You have to assemble it, but with patience you can assemble it perfectly in about an hour. There are four big springs (one heavy and one light for each foot platform. The vinyl padding is quite comfortable and thick. The large rectangular shaped pads for the foot pedals are excellent. This is an excellent piece of commercial quality gym equipment that will provide excellent muscular and aerobic conditioning. It comes with the Essential and Intermediate video that is good! I would have given it five stars, but it's not simple to change from split pedals to one pedal easily. But I think that it's probably better to keep the pedals split as then you can learn to balance out your muscles better since you would have to move the pedals at the same rate. I think the tension with the springs is very good and the movement is silent and smooth. Overall, this is an excellent, versatile, piece of gym equipment where you can do a variety of exercises to strengthen your entire body. And the product will last a long time! You get what you pay for! However, the Malibu Pilates to start out can be a very good program, too.
