This would be a great product, if you can actually get one UNDAMAGED from Amazon. I received the first pot, with a small crack in the lid, so I requested a replacement from Amazon (Ohh and the first pot had been returned and re-sent to about a half dozen people, as indicated by the half dozen different UPS labels all over the box.. Beware of Amazon resending damaged goods!)The second pot came in, RUSTED and with a HUGE crack down the entire side. OK, Amazon, get a clue. Obviously the thin cardboard box these 50lb pots come in is NOT enough padding to prevent shipping damage.You can get these same pots for the same price from Target or Home Depot, so maybe I'll try there since all Amazon would do is refund my money after pot #2 came in damaged..These pots are not pre-seasoned, which is a bit of a pain (and hence, my 2nd pot came in with lots of rust.)And, Amazon, re-shipping damaged goods to other people, hoping they won't notice the "small" crack, is really unethical.. Buyer beware of Amazon :< I never realized they would do something like that, and it really dropped my opinion of Amazon.

Content with Purchase

I've read a few of the other reviews regarding shipping problems with this item. It seemed like I might have been taking a risk of having problems myself. After all I'm purchasing a 47 pound item and getting free shipping. I'm sure that Amazon... or whoever the vendor is... wasn't going to absorb the cost of providing a secure crate to ship this item as a freebie option. In some eyes that is fair.Nevertheless, I took a chance. I got my item in a reasonable amount of time. Yes, I took the freebie shipping option and I got an undamaged product. I can't say that the negative reviewers were over reacting to their problems as I have no difficulty imagining what happened to them.For sure, I received my product in the same box that one would find on the shelf at a local store. Yes, the cardboard is flimsy. There was no foam, paper or anything to absorb shock from any banging, dropping, etc. It had the plastic strappings (thankfully!!)... but the box surely took a beating somewhere... likely during the shipping process. It held together... barely... but all in all there were no cracks in the iron pot or lid.I'm happy with the outcome... but I truly think that one is taking a roll of the dice here. I don't know if upgrading the shipping will provide a more secure shipping package or not... but at nearly 50 pounds for the pot... you're going to pay a pretty penny for upgraded shipping. Would be wise to make contact to confirm that you're getting a better shipping package when upgrading... or learn from others' experiences and perhaps you can demand getting better packaging with free shipping.Depending on how bad you want the item... it might be worth it.

Great Value

I got this large dutch oven for a stone soup party we have every year. We make stone soup over a camp fire every fall. In previous years I had used two smaller ones. One large one works so much better for both the effect and for practical reasons.The pot arrived in great shape. I seasoned it on my gas grill. My only concern is that the lid doesn't fit well with the handle up. When you lift up the handle, it pushes the lid off to the side. The lid could use a bigger lip that fits inside the oven and the handle could be a little wider.All-in-all I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Fits the Bill

This is the 2nd cabinet we bought like this. It took my husband about 3 hours to assemble - he's very careful. The doors on the 2nd one didn't line up as well as our 1st one, but the cabinet still closes and stays closed. We use these as a His & Hers DVD/VCR cabinets. We filled the 1st one, but instead of buying a cabinet that takes up an entire wall, we bought this one twice. These can be easily moved to different areas, wherever the need is. The adjustable shelves make it practical for DVD, VHS, and CD storage. We like the size of this as well because it doesn't dominate our living room. The wood & glass is nice, and the arched windows at the top add style. This cabinet is carried by a lot of vendors for widely varying prices. Buy the cheapest because it's the same manufacturer.

Bought two, first one great, second one not so much

We bought two of these media storage cabinets, one at a time. The first one we bought was terrific, except for some confusion with the assembly instructions. The doors were mis-marked, but I wasn't thrown by it after seeing the previous reviews here. Some of the detail in putting the sides together was lacking, but we figured things out with time. Took 2 hours to assemble the first one, but once we got it done, it looked great, felt sturdy, and served its purpose. We liked it so much we ordered a second one a couple of weeks later, and this one had part of a shelf corner damaged in transit, and a few mis-aligned pre-drilled holes. Assembly wasn't near as smooth, and while it looks nice, I'm not nearly as confident it will last as long if moved around at all. So I rate our first experience as a 5, the second as a 3, averaging to a 4.

DVD Cabinet

We laid this out on the floor and had it together in about 30 minutes. We used a cordless screw gun to help out. The unit we got is pressed board that has a wood laminate on top of it. It still looks nice. It was packed well so, no worrying about shipping damage. Three of the shelves are adjustable and three are part of the structure of the cabinet and you can't move them. It comes with wall anchors so it won't accidentally get tipped over. The only thing I wish it had was a lock on the doors to make sure they stayed closed, it has magnetic catches to keep them closed.

Collector doll

A beautiful, rare, one of five hundred Barbie. If you bought it for an older girl she would understand the doll would have to stay largely on it's stand. She's pretty much a statuette by reason of expense, but it's worth remembering if you drop her she won't shatter! She's inspired by Irish myth so she could open a door to a rich land of imagination if the girl was given access to stories etc. I've always loved Irish fairies. The doll itself will last, clothing and crown etc will of course suffer if she is played with too much. I love her but I am an adult collector and my sister's little girls will only play with her now and then, but neither do I agree that a doll shouldn't be used as a doll at all. I loved them too much as a child myself, it's too sad to see a doll in a box. Great little toy!

I bought this toy for my son at 5 months old. He loves it! Now that he is 9 months and a little more mobile he laughs at the dragon and loves playing with the differnt sounds and mirror on the foot! The dragon is as tall as he is sitting - so it is right at eye level for him! I like him so much I am buying 2 more as gifts for neices/nephews!

Amazing toy for babies as young as 3 months

my twins LOVE this toy as well as Tiny the Elephant. The colors and rattles, etc are very interactive. My twins are 3 months and will lay and stare and touch these toys for a long period of time. Even my older (2 and 3 years) niece and nephew LOVE this toy too. A must have for the holiday season...

my 2 month old daughter just got one as a gift, and I cant rave aout it enough, she loves this more than the videos I pop in- Everything on this dragon does something, there are crinkle noises, mirror, pop out flowers, rattles and it is bright and colorfull and she can whip it around if she wants to. it is sturdy enough that i propped her up against it for pictures. I absolutely love this dragon and as a mom on a budget, this is worth the money, this will last well past her first birthday. without a doubt the best gift she has gotten.

I bought this to connect a high quality Shure microphone to my PC to allow digital recording of vocals. It works well on my PC that has Windows XP on it. I use it with FL studio and am able to record directly from the mic and the quality of the sound is very good.

Brought My DAW Studio To Life!

Great converters as stated! No hiss or humm as otheres have said, and works flawless on XP(SP3). I am running Cubase 5 and no major issiues. ASIO 2.0 is very stable which is the reason I decided on this unit. I no longer have to rely on 3rd party software, because of the ultral low latency, which I might add is almost invisable! I have not used for a mic yet but am looking forward to it! The Echo Gina 3G is for me!
