Very well made

I bought this bases on photos that made this look like a good value and it was. It came on time with all the hardware needed for installation right down to the stainless steel screws to hold it to the roof.It came with everything in the photo where some others showed a similar photo but charged extra for the accessories.The packaging was over the top! Three layers of boxes to keep the Eagle safe...Well done!Bottom line nice quality,great shipping and an easy 30 minute installation with the adaptable bracket tht they supply.

Hadhafang -Throng's Bane:

Many may not recognize nor ever have heard of Hadhafang and for good reason, Hadhafang was only featured twice in New Line Cinema's Lord of the Rings Trilogy and in both instances for only a fragment of time. However in both segments that it was on screen it was wielded by two renowned and beloved LOTR characters; Elrond and his daughter Arwen. It was also wielded by Idril (Mother of Earendil and Grandmother of Elrond) against the evil Throng ages before.The inscription on the blade reads:Aen estar Hadhafang i chathol hen, thand arod dan i thang an i arwen("This blade is called Hadhafang, a noble defense against the enemy throng for a noble maiden")Now regarding the product itself:ProsFrom the tip of the blade to pummel the weapon is well crafted. The stainless steel cleans easy, the wooden handle or hilt is smooth and finely crafted, and the blade itself is very sharp which for some may count as a con but for me only makes the replica more genuine.ConsThere is really only one con and that is that Hadhafang is not a well balanced sword. Now I know this is typical for most replicas and it is because of that I did not make it 4 1/2 stars.Overall a very satisfying purchase, I am pleased to be proud owner of Hadhafang. :)

OSM!!!

It is a great sword in fact my first and only Lotr sword but i will get more in the future. The handle is made with a fine smooth wood and the blade is made with stainless steel. The blade has elven script inscribed on the blade that reads "this blade is called Hadhafang, a noble defense against the enemy throng for a noble lady. The only thing is that the sword dosent balance well but over all i was glad to add it to my Lotr collection!

I was thrilled to get my sword! It' is really pretty, but also a little heavy. I was a little dissapointed with the gold that was supposed to be in the engraving on the blade because it looked like someone couldn't stay in the lines. Yet that still did not take away from the beauty of it.

One menacing knife. Got lots of compliments on it. The blade is razor sharp, shipped fast. The camo paint looks absolutely gorgeous. Frame lock is solid and keeps the blade from wiggling. Great price for such a great knife. Been using it now for several months, it hasn't failed me yet. A good sharpening every once in a while keeps the edge sharp and ready. One of my favorite knives.

Excellent

I use this light regularly in places where there is zero ambient light and it performs great. Many times i am with others who have big maglights or even a surefire light of a similar size, the TL3-LED is consistently brighter and lasts longer. If you want brighter I think you have to sacrafice size, runtime or both. I bought this in 2003 and at the time based on my research i couldn't find anything this small or bright with a comparable runtime. I have also beaten this light up sufficiently yet it still runs fine.Positives - brightest, smallest long running light i could findNegatives - CR123A batteries are expensive if you dont order them online - Surefire's website has the cheapest i can find

One of the best tactical lights out there

This is by far my favorite tactical light because it is carried in a very accessible bezel down mode and the grip right is adjustable. I have big hands so that is important for someone like me. If you're not using the light in conjunction with a gun or don't like the Rogers/Surefire grip or prefer bezel up carry, go with the TL-2. Or better yet spring for the TL-3.

What a beautiful peice of hardware

As has been the case, for me, with all things lodge, the quality of this cast iron cookware is amazing. I didn't really need a dutch oven as large as this one, but when I saw this, I just couldn't resist. So far, I've only used it once (maybe because I just got it???) to make a shortrib recipe and it came out absolutely wonderful. I doubled up on all of the ingredients because I had to justify buying such a large dutch oven. Everything cooked evenly and to perfection.I've been using cast-iron rather heavily for about four years now and will never look back. Speaking of using it heavily, I must caution you - this thing is "heavy"!!! That is not a negative. It's just to mention that quality is not "free". In any event, you can always use it for doing "curls" when you are not cooking with it. Just kidding all. You will never be sorry if you acquire this cast-iron marvel!!!

my favorite size

I have 2 of these ovens and the 10qt deep. I prefer the 12qt oven for braising and for use in the home oven. You should be aware that it will not fit in some ovens. These are great for party cooking. You can easily feed 50 hungry people with a set of these. Clean immediately after use and it is a lot easier to maintain the seasoning and not have to use soap. Be careful of the type of oil you store it with, some will leave a nasty gunk that is impossible to get off (DON'T use Canola). I prefer to reheat the cleaned oven and hit it with a bit of lard before storage. Try braised country style pork ribs, beef short ribs, or a pork roast. They are all cheap cuts and give spectacular results. These cuts are easy too, just sear & brown and throw in the oven with some beef or chicken stock a few veggies and cook at 300 for 3-5 hrs.

Lodge 16" Dutch Oven is top of the line

As an avid Dutch oven cook I own 12 Lodge Dutch ovens. I own 2 16" ovens and use them regularly. I purchased the Lodge Logic Pre-seasoned 12 quart because I know the quality of the pre-seasoning and I choose not to have to smoke up my home to season one of Lodge's original ovens.I have chosen Lodge because of their quality and durability. Just the other day I dropped not one but two of my 8 inch Dutch oven from the back of my truck onto the asphalt and both survived the incident. Please don't test your oven by dropping it, this is not the proper care and I am grateful for the quality of Lodge cast iron.I give Lodge dutch ovens a big 5 star salute.
