Best closet ever!

I installed these about 2 years ago in my master closet x 2. I found the corner unit and installed that so that I have a very complete closet system. My closet looks fantastic, especially since I went to costco and bought the non slip velvet type hangers they sell. This system is extremely easy to install. The only problem I had was that it was a bit ungainly putting in some of the shelving. I remember having to hoist some big prebuilt pieces in. I love love love my closet. I changed it up a little to customize it. I put a 24 drawer in mine and one of the wire racks at the bottom of one of the shelving sections. The wire basket is great for throwing in all your summer sandals and flip flops. It is an easy system to install but it does take time. Don't think you can whip this in in a half hour. It took me at least 5 hours to do both sides of my very large closet. (approx. 14x12)and I had to go back to the store to get more parts so I could go wall to wall to wall so it probably took me longer than that. The best part is that this system is not sitting on the floor. If I want to recarpet, I do not have to dismantle my closet system to do so, and that is especially why I picked this type of system. I was attracted to the one bar hanging system. The first thing you do is find studs, measure for the height to mount the hanging bar on, then mount the bar by using screws to stud. Once you have the bar mounted, it is a matter of hanging the walls,attaching rods,adding shelves and cloths. In addition to hanging this system, I first had to remove all of my clothes, paint the insides and then rehang all of my clothes. If you are going to go to the work of hanging up this beautiful new system you don't want to have ugly old scuffed up walls behind it, so spend the extra time and 10.00 to paint. You won't be sorry.

I have purchased and installed dozens of Easy Track and other brands' closet systems and accessories over the past 18 years. Easy Track is by far my favorite and what I have chosen to use in my own closets. Great quality, reasonable pricing and unmatched versatility. As a matter of fact, the reason I saw this item is because I am shopping for components to re-configure my existing closet design...try easily doing that with wire or any other systems!Product quality and durability is unsurpassed. I imagine Easy Track doesn't appreciate it that I have many components from my original closet installation 18 years ago, in my current closet. They do not wear out!With regards to the quality of the instructions, yes, the instructions used to be much more helpful and clear. The Easy Track system parent company has changed ownership over the years and whoever they have had edit the currently supplied directions apparently does not communicate well with others.Remember these few points:1.) Do not worry about having to do math like they say in the instructions. MOUNT THE TRACK 76" FROM THE FLOOR. This works well for users 4' 10" and up.2.) Invest in a stud finder. Even the cheap electronic ones work well for this. Try to put two screws in every stud if possible. Rarely have I had to use toggles and even then, if you mark and drill the toggle holes centered behind a hole in the track, no problems!3.) Put the vertical panels and shelves wherever you want! It's a personalized closet system! It can be changed if you don't like it.4.) For additional stability when you have the system installed how you like it, pre-drill 1/8" holes in the bottom of the rod holders and rods with any hand held drill and install small set screws to hold the rods in place. This is NOT necessary if you measured right and the system is installed SNUGGLY between two walls but I recommend it.5.) I always install one full length shelf which has to be purchased separately and is not available from Easy Track, along the top of the system. Put a few screws through the shelf into the tops of the vertical panels and this makes the installation even more stable.Bottom line is anyone with ambition and minimal skills can install Easy Track closet systems like a pro! You will be surprised how great you will feel when your closet is organized exactly how you wanted it to be and you did all the work yourself!

I've used these shelving kits in several homes. Always a hit.Just make sure you mount the bar level and at the recommended height. Also, make sureyou use the wall anchors supplied or hit studs. After that, installation is a snap.Another reviewer groused about the wide shelves. He/she might be happy to know thatyou can buy 12" shelves pre-cut. Also, it's not difficult to cut shelves to custom widthsif you have access to a table saw or are careful with a circular saw.Good luck!
