Very White and Bright - Recommended over stock H4 Bulbs
By Mossberg500
These bulbs are SAE and DOT rated, 60W/55W standard wattage, so you won't get pulled over by the police for using off color or higher wattage bulbs, or burn your wiring by using higher wattage bulbs. The produce a very clean white (4000°K) light and are very bright compared to regular headlights. Comparing these to the 4000°K Sylvania SilverStar bulbs which I had before, these are whiter and brighter, which surprised me. If you are looking for a true white light, you need to stick below 4100°K in color, else you start to get into the blue and purple colors. These seem to be exactly what I was looking for. I gave them 4 stars because I don't know how long these will last. Most H4 bulbs are easy to swap out requiring no tools and about 5 minutes of your time.

Got Light??
By Big-D
After recently purchasing a new motorcycle, I like to be seen. So I purchased these PIAA bulbs and wow, what a differance they make. Although they are claimed to be legal in all states, these babies really light up the night. Now if they last a while, I'll be completely happy with them. Some other brands seem to wear out quickly. PIAA has the best name in automotive lighting. But right now, I am completely happy with them. I ride during the day with my brights on and use the dims at night. But when I own the road by myself and switch on the high-beams, the night turns into day. You can see it all. I don't think many hazards will be able to jump out in front of me without me seeing them first. And that in its self is worth everything to me.They were a little more expensive, but as far as I'm concerned, worth every penney. Still a really good deal.

Can't put a price on safety
By J. Sekula
These things definitely help you see the road better than stock lights. Sure they cost more, but they may just make the difference between seeing that deer in time or hitting it. Also, they make your car look pretty sharp a well. No, they don't have that stupid blue/purple look you see a lot, just a very bright white with a slight blue hue to it, which is not noticeable while driving, just when looking at them from the outside. Definitely recommend them. Also, just to be clear, to your car, they are the same as any other H4 bulb. They use the same wattage and voltage. Though they are similar to HID lights in terms of light quality, they do not use the same mechanics, and do not need an HID ballast installed like HID conversion kits, which may also be illegal to use, as they often let too much light bleed up toward the eyes of oncoming drivers - nothing gets a cop's ticket-writing hand itchier than being blinded. You don't have anything to worry about using these bulbs.
