Very Inefficient Fan

I bought and installed one of these in my office. I was disappointed with the fan's performance, but I've made an easy modification that improved its performance.First, it should be noted that with only an eight foot ceiling in here I chose to install it in the "hugger" configuration where it mounts directly to the ceiling. My experience may explain why some reviewers said that they got good airflow, while others said that it didn't do much of anything. With very limited spacing above the blades there isn't much room for them to pull from, and this thing just kind of stirs up the air in the room a bit. Standing directly below it while it is running at full blast you'll find very little air flow in either fan direction.Using the included standoff would probably help, but I still have a relatively low ceiling in here, and don't want to risk injuring any tall friends.So, I did some reading on ceiling fans, and a high number of blades also has a negative effect on a ceiling fan's capability. The blades interfere with eachother, so that they don't get as much "bite" on the air. Consider what would happen with 10 or 30 blades--the fan begins to resemble a solid disk that wouldn't move air at all. Because it's possible to keep the fan balanced while using only three blades, I decided to try this tonight, and was pleasantly surprised. With only three blades installed (removing every other blade), the fan now produces a nice, steady breeze. I think I'll keep it installed, now that it is working much better.This makes it a pretty good fan for a low price. Enough whining about the little bulbs, as you can find them at your local hardware store.

Small and fairly quiet...

We have a 1950's 3Brd 1 Bath house. We use the two smaller rooms as a nursery and a den/office. Both of the smaller rooms would look strange with a standard sized fan, so we decided to get the smallest fan out there. 30 inches seem to be the smallest available. There were 32 inch ones at home depot, but they didn't look as nice as these. So I bought two of the TURBO SWIRL. First, you need to read the directions on how to assemble. If you are too impatient, find another fan. Second, one of the fans seemed to wabble more and make more noise. I returned it and the new one seemed to be fine.I've had the fans for over a year now and they have been good for us. It's helped alot with the summer heat wave from last year. Just a few days ago, one of the fans started acting up. It was slower than the other and the directional control seemed out of whack. I called westinghouse and they are sending me a replacement capacitor for free. 10-14 business days to arrive. Hopefully, that solves that problem.Other than that, we've been happy with this compact and fairly quiet fan.

Ordered 2 of the subject items, installed one into one of our guess bed rooms. Works & looks very well, not to mention the ease of installation (just follow the directions if you are not mechanically in depth). With old fan removal + assembly & installation took less than 90 minutes. If you have a room that's 10X10 - 12X12 this will work wonderfully, mind you these are not for cooling a room just air circulation.

Poor quality control

I'll bet this comes from China, or at least I hope its not American made. One of the main side supports was not measured properly when drilled. I was able to compensate by pulling out my own drill, and I guess those extra holes will drain it?! Be prepared when you go to put it together. I was also amazed at the condition of the box when delivered. I was shocked that the items inside were not damaged.

Works on my Kenmore Refrigerator/Freezer! Easy to Install!

This was an awesome solution to replace our ice maker that gave out after 8 years! We have a Kenmore refrigerator and after some online research I discovered that it uses a Whirlpool icemaker. Matched up some part numbers and viola, found this God-send! This icemaker was easy to install and comes with extra parts to help solve a variety of issues of why your ice maker isn't working. Luckily, mine was a real easy fix since it only involved the actual icemaker unit and not the pumps or anything external. I simply uninstalled the old one and installed this one. Followed some safety instructions and it was like plug-and-play! I just used the old wire harness and didn't even have to replace any wiring! Good stuff!Here's a tip... Although this comes with some pretty good instructions, go on youtube and look up some videos on how to replace your icemaker. It really helped me out and saved me some $$$ in having a repair man come out! Good luck!

I found almost every bad review I read to be misinformed

I just got my 5-in-1 bassinet today. I was a little nervous about it, having read all of the bad reviews on here. While my husband was putting it together, I brought up each critique I read and he pointed out all of the so-called problem areas. I've listed the ones I can think of below:*DIFFICULT TO ASSEMBLE/CAN'T FIND INSTRUCTIONS*While it's true that the instructions weren't loose in the box, they were pretty easy to find. The bassinet folds in half for portability and that's the way it's packaged in the box. The instructions were sandwiched in-between the two halves. He found them right away and didn't have to look it up online or assemble anything extra. He said the instructions were very straight forward and put it together quickly. Being a teacher, I can't help but think that the people who complained about how hard it was to assemble didn't read the instructions.*BASSINET DOESN'T ATTACH TO THE BASE*There's a short little strap with a snap style buckle on each side of the base. It's a little hidden by the ruffles, but there's a slit in the fabric where you can pull them through. Once he snapped it into place, it was very secure. He was able to lift the entire unit from the handle of the bassinet.*IT'S TOO TALL FOR A BED*When he first put it together, it was very tall. I mentioned how people had said it was too tall to fit comfortably next to a bed. It turns out that the legs are adjustable and have 6 different height settings. We put it on the lowest and it's below my bed level- and I have a pretty average bed.*THE HANDLE WON'T FOLD DOWN*I read a couple of reviews that said how they wished the handle would go down because it's hard to get the baby in and out. He found little buttons you press at the base of each handle. You have to look for them because they're kind of under the cloth, but they're there. This allows the handle to go all the way down.*IT WON'T FIT THROUGH A DOORWAY*When we were wheeling it into my bedroom, it went right through my doorway with no problems. Maybe my doors are wider than an average door. I really don't know, but I had no problem with that.* IT DOESN'T ATTACH TO THE BED*I think I only saw one review that mentioned this. There's a little padded strap thing that was left over after he put it together. When he looked at the directions, it showed that this strap thing attaches to the base, and then slides between the mattresses to hold it in place next to the bed.* IT'S TOO HARD & UNCOMFORTABLE*With SIDS being such a concern now-a-days, I can completely understand why manufacturers don't want to have something too padded. I was expecting something really hard, but it has a foam padded cushion. With the cushion, it's actually a lot more comfortable than I thought it would be.It may be possible that I have a newer model than the ones people have complained about, and that this new model fixed every problem area. However, I think the problem is that people don't look around for obvious solutions or read the instructions. Our baby is due any day now and I couldn't be happier with our purchase. I only wish I had gotten one with my daughter 3 years ago- it's perfect!

Great for the Price

I've used this strictly as a bassinet next to our bed, and it has been fantastic. The best feature is the night light, which enables me to check on my baby in the middle of the night and nurse her without waking up her or my husband. It goes out on it's own in case you fall asleep without turning it off, which is very convenient and saves the batteries. I also love the versatility of folding up the wheels so it can rock like a cradle if I want. I haven't used the changing table portion at all. Though we did carry her in the removeable carrier once or twice, it was too large and cumbersome to be very convenient, so now I just use a Pack'n Play in the other room instead.

Our baby is almost outgrowing this bassinet- something that makes me sad, as I've enjoyed using it.Here's what I liked and didn't like:* Carrying the bassinet around was a bit of a nuisance (if the baby is in it, it's kinda heavy- if not, you gotta put down the baby, relocate the bassinet, get the baby again...).* I never used the changing table- you have to take the bassinet off the unit. Who wants to deal with that in the middle of the night? Easier to use a real changing table.* The rocking feature is nice, but I didn't use it that often. It was a bit of a hassle popping the wheels in and out.* An extra fitted sheet for the mattress would have been nice.* This may be just a problem with our particular unit, but the vibrating control sometimes works and sometimes doesn't despite fresh batteries. Not a big deal since the sounds work fine.* Ability to adjust height. If you have a tall bed, low bed, don't worry: there are lots of height options here.* Cute toys hanging off tall hood. If you don't want them there, you can easily remove them. The toys are in sight, but beyond reach.* The Number One reason I like this bassinet a lot is because of the mesh siding. It lets air circulate- something that is very good if your baby, like ours, moves around and ends up with the head turned facing the side. I always move my baby toward the middle again, but it was reassuring to know that the mesh was letting fresh air in- just lift the outside ruffles out of the way.All in all this bassinet has a whole bunch of extra features we really didn't feel were necessary. We might have been happier with a plain and traditional bassinet, except that we loved the breathable mesh siding. You can use this bassinet until your baby can roll over or push up or when your baby is 17.5 lbs- whichever happens first.

Awesome look and fit

Look and fit is awesome.Took a star off, because it should have some form of internal insulation to better protect heat transfer from shifter to knob.Also, in the summer time crack the windows down and keep car in the shade or you won't be able to touch the blistering hot knob without a glove. I drive with glove in the winter time, so my hand won't get stuck frozen on the knob.

If you are looking to add some fancy crome finish to your car, this would be the best way to go. I have it installed in a Mazda 3 and looked very stylish and the installed in a Subary Legazy and it would actually match with other crome finishes in the dashboard. It is very confortable and soft to use, speccialy if you are into triptonic or secualcual shifting ;).

Good cable, but hard to crimp

I found these cables hard to crimp with end bits... the X in the center core needs to be cut off first, but because of the X core, its not as flexible as other cables I've used before.I would not recommend this for crimping, rather use it for base plate install cable using the cable punch..

Worked great and at a good price

I just rewired my 5 year old house from Cat 5 to Cat 6 since I'm doing a great deal of data transfer (got 21TB on my home server in the basement I share out to all my devices). This weekend I set aside time to just redo everything since I never liked how the home builder did it. My big thing was finding a smaller amount of cat-6 bulk cable though, since I didn't need 1000 feet... There were very few options out there.I got this one and it was really easy to work with. Unspooled just fine, never a snag, not even one. Cable was easy to work with and bend through where I needed it, even with the spline inside to separate the pairs. And that spline actually helped me in a few spots pushing it through holes and such.The amount was perfect for me since I had about 20 feet left when I was done, so I couldn't have planned it better.I just wish I had made as good a choice with the jacks as I did with the cable!

I have tried many creams, hoping to reduce the redness from my rosacea.this is the first cream that actually reduces my redness and it feels great.. it did not take it away though, and now I know that it is possible for a product to reduce my redness, I become hopefully for a product that actually takes it away most of the time. making me look rosacea free.So far this is the best one I have tried.I think I will try more Valmont products, hoping that a combination may work even better.

Great trash can. 12 gallon bags fit . . . however they fill up quick and the swinging lid hits garbage quicker. Siimple human offers a 15 gallon bag (you get 3 with this can) - they allow you to use the entire capacity of the can. We like it a lot - nice and solid. Bought one on amazon (it was damaged), returned it and bought it from simplehuman.com.

Minimal breakable parts

What I hate about other trash cans, is that the step eventually breaks, or the automatic sensor breaks, or it's ALL plastic and looks gross, which means you usually throw it away, creating a large amount of waste. I don't foresee this swing arm breaking, so it seems like I will be able to use this for a long long time. Awesome shunt/monitor!

This was very easy to wire up and I love the amount of information it gives so clearly.Most of the other ones I was considering only displayed one thing at a time on a device that was more device and less screen. This one gives you a nice big display with everything you need to know.Wiring it up was simple. It's a negative and a power wired to run the device, then one to each side of the shunt to get the reading. There's an optional 5th wire so that you can read the voltage from the starter battery (I did not wire this).My install was for an RV and it seems to be made for a boat. For my RV mounting the back was needlessly large and the wire ran out of the back. To resolve I drilled out the side of the back and ran the wire out there, very easy to do. I mounted it by running the screw that's sticking out of the back through a small hole I punched in the carpeted wall part of my RV and fastened the plate that came with it onto the back. Easy easy.

Pretty nice option

This works very well in monitoring my RV batteries. Its nice to have percentage, hours remaining base off load and current load. Its helpful to me however seems expensive for what it provides. I could see this costing about $100 for the value it provides.Would buy it again though as I cannot find a better alternative.
