5Love this machine!
By Ali
What a workhorse! So easy to use especially for elderly persons - no more lifting of a heavy water pot. We plug it in when we get up and don't unplug it until bedtime. Awesome machine!

5Great Product, Reasonably Priced!
By deke62
This quality product is great for keeping hot water on hand for making instant coffee, a cup of tea, a bowl of oatmeal or other hot cereal, and several other kitchen tasks that require hot water. I especially like the fact that you can keep your water temperature constant all day and that you can control the temperature by utilizing the three settings on the pot. GREAT PRODUCT!

5Excellent quality and durability
By dissipatedfog
We are a small high school that shares a building with a community library, and we share this screen between us. We've had it over three years and it is still in EXCELLENT shape. It gets moved all around the building and is used for large events and in classrooms. We love it!

4Nice tool!
By P. E. Birder
I got this to replace a versapack cordless drill which was never anything to write home about after the motor died. This thing is great. I've had this one about a year and it has lots of nice features that really come in handy (such as a light that comes on when you've got it level, adjustable torque, and a feature where you can leave the screw driver bit in and use an outside attachment for the drill bit making switching back and forth really easy). It is a little on the heavy side so if you are only doing light handyman jobs, you might consider the 12 volt which is a bit lighter. Oh, and the batteries last forever!! I bought the drill alone so I don't know about the studfinder.

4Very nice drill, but not the one described
By J. Muskovitz
As another reviewed discovered, this drill does not have the removeable chuck. It also does not have a 24 step clutch. It does have a 5 step clutch (which should really be enough for anyone). It also seems very well made (although the case leaves a lot to be desired).Amazon did offer us a refund, but since it was given as a gift, we declined.

5Awesome Shear
By D-Money
Although compact and light-weight, it has the cutting power DeWalt claims. I was amazed at the ease in which it cut through aluminum. It's best suited for flat material though. I tried using it on ribbed aluminum you would install on a pole barn with little success.

5Great tool
By CDH7
This a great tool for my metal roofing work. I would aways use a nibbler or knife for my long flat panel cuts in the past. BUt this takes the cake. I almost got a corded model, I do not regret buying this, I use it much more than I thought I would. I use it on 29, 26 and 24 ga metal and it performs great. Note, this is only ment for flat, somewhat straight cuts, otherwise you probably need a nibbler, I like the Fein brand for that.

5A great cordless from DeWalt... again!
By HG fan
Works fantastic! No cord to dance around! Always being one to check/read customer reviews, for some years now I have gone with DeWalt 18v tools. Unlike some other brands that have some outstanding cordless tools and some not so good tools in their lines, DeWalt almost always gets good marks. So far, I have not been disappointed in either quality or performance as expected. DeWalt, as usual, has another cordless winner here. Having the same tool Mfg'r also means you can share the batteries and chargers. A couple of battery packs will drive drywall screws all day long.Owning several DeWalt 18v tools that were supplied with batteries and chargers, I did not need additional batteries; or chargers; or the kit boxes, so I opted to purchase the bare tool from one of Amazon's third party sellers, Max Tools, (DeWalt DC520B) for a substantial savings. The DC520KA is fast and efficient for driving screws. I have bad shoulders now so it is a bit heavy for overhead work for me (I use a DeWalt corded model), but certainly managable if you are an average homeowner or a pro and only want to use one drywall gun. The gun is pricey, but thats DeWalt for you and you tend to get what you pay for.If you're a homeowner that may do some serious drywalling once or twice in your lifetime, this package may be too expensive for your needs and a simple, cheaper corded model may be the way to go if $ is an issue. (See my review of the corded DeWalt DW272 screw gun as a possible option.)

5Great Tool
By BobbyCA
I originally bought this screwdriver for quick small jobs, which could save me a few extra minutes not having to get extension cords or in areas power has been temporarily turned off...Also, I liked that it was light weight... But I find myself going to it even on large drywall jobs and I recently completed a large redwood deck with it... Screwing into drywall is a no brainer for this gun, but I was concerned how well it would countersink screws into a redwood deck... To my suprise it did it well and very quick... I kept one battery on my charger and just rotated between them... The feel for the balance of this tool may take a use or two before you get comfortable with it, but if you use your middle finger for the trigger (index and thumb for support)you'll have very few issues of the bit sliding off your screws (and yes, I know that is kinda of a "duh" statement, but you'd be suprised how many people I see using their index finger on the trigger)...

4Works well, bad ergonomics
By Jason Ledyard
I must start by saying I'm a big fan of the DeWalt 18v line. There isn't much they make that I don't have. When I saw this was available, I thought it would be a great addition to the tool bag. That said, it's just too heavy for all day use. They batteries last, but my arm doesn't. I can't say for sure if it's the weight of the tool or the balance, but either way, it doesn't work well for me for all day use.It is a good tool for a few screws here or there. The motor is plenty powerful and the depth / clutch works well. I use it when I'm supervising a crew and am needed all over a job site. If I'm working in one location, I go with a traditional high-speed corded gun.

5best in Class
By Ronald B. Ruiz
ok lets be clear- I am a loyal Milwaukee user and will remain one especially with the upcoming V28 release, But this Dewalt product is outstanding in every aspect.I have used it for about two months now and cut drywall, plywood, tile and backerboared with it. The battery life is excellent and weight and balance are outstanding. with two batteries you can litterally do drywall cut outs all day long.Dust protection seems good and keyless chuck performs well.An excellent buy.

4DC550KA 18-Volt Cordless Cut-Out Tool
By SJK
I have been waiting years for Dewalt to make an 18V cordless cut-out tool kit like the DC550K. It's great to finally have a cordless version that can utilize the same charger and batteries as my other 18V tools. I bought one of these as soon as they became available online and now use it almost every day on the job. Before the DC550, I was most indignant about having to drag an extension cord along when using my Roto-Zip, as this is the last holdout in a tool collection that I use daily which still required being plugged into an outlet to operate.I use the DC550 mainly to make cutouts in wood, drywall, plaster and acoustical tile for recessed lighting or electrical boxes. With a carbide burr bit, it will make cutouts in ceramic wall tile, solid surface or laminate backsplashes, but of course, won't cut harder floor tile materials. It also makes clean, splinter free cutouts in solid wood or veneered cabinets, such as when installing an outlet for a microwave/hood over a range or outlets in kitchen island or peninsula base cabinets. I have even used it for cutouts in thin stainless sheet clad walls that are found in commercial kitchens, and it works well on aluminum and vinyl siding too.Battery life is very good and since the DC550K kit comes with two batteries, you can have one on charge and keep going all day long. The extra length and weight the battery does make this tool slightly less well balanced than the corded version when using it in the horizontal position, but the rubber grip area allows you to hold the tool firmly in various positions and as with anything else, the more you use the tool, the less noticeable this imbalance becomes. There is no bump switch on top of the tool but the push through type on/off switch sticks out far enough so you can get at easily. The tool-less quick-change bit holder is the same as on Dewalt's corded cut-out tool. It takes a little getting used to, but is much better than having to use a wrench every time you need to change a cutter bit. At 27,000 rpm's it's not as fast as the corded version but this doesn't really seem to affect its cutting ability. Overall, I feel that the DC550 is a very good tool that can go along way toward making your workday easier and more productive.

2Good for the Case and Batteries Only
By New England Tool Snob
I purchased the DeWalt DC550KA about two years ago when I needed to make several circuit box cut-outs in drywall during a kitchen renovation. I was swayed by the initial positive reviews, the brand, its portability over the Rotozip, and that it complemented my other existing DeWalt 18V tools. My first use on a box cut-out was very disappointing. It had plenty of power and speed but quickly spent one battery before I could complete the entire cut. Other attempts yielded similar results with other charged batteries.I was not going to post a review but felt compelled when it was receiving so many favorable one. Besides the poor run-time, the spindle lock was awkward and not well designed. Unlike most solidly designed and built DeWalt 18V tools, this tool is not designed for prolonged or rigorous use.I would only recommend this kit if you needed the extra batteries or the case (it fits the DeWalt DW960 right angle 18V drill, charger, and two batteries).

5Clean Dado Work
By D. Moore
I'm a beginner wood worker or cabinet makerand this is my first stacked dado set.The blades came in a nice case. The widthswere clearly marked on each blade. So assemblingthe right width is easy and straight forwardeven if you loose the instructions. The instructions, while brief, were understandable, and straight forward. There is even a small pocket in the case to hold the instructions. One small gripe with the case is that the shims dont sitnicely in the case, and if you move the case aroundwith it open, like when you move it to the workbenchafter installing the blades for a quick cut, the shimswill not always stay in place. They almost always jumpor slide out of their shallow pocket from within the case. This set performs exactly as expected. There are plenty of shims, so adjusting tothe exact width is not a problem. One of the shims was so thin, that I didntrealize that it was hung up on one of thethreads of the arbor, and as a result, themetal around the hole of the shim became slightlydeformed while I was tightening the blades andthe shim in the saw.I've used the dado set for cutting approx150ft to 200ft of different width dados. Most of themin oak, or oak veneer. The widths I mostcommonly used were 1/4 and 3/4. For some reasonI had to slightly shim out the stack to get exactly3/4. I can't go much larger on my saw, becausethe arbor isn't long enough to accomdate more than3/4 inch stack of dados, even with the stabilizingwasher removed. (My saw has a name printed on itmost commonly associated with plumbing tools.)The resulting dados were smooth, flat bottomed, with nice crisp edges. Very little tear-outor splintering. Just like I would expect. Some had recommended that I get a smaller 6 inch diameterstack, as the weight of an 8 inch diameter stack mightbe a bit much for my 13 AMP saw, but I noticed no problemswith power.I recommend getting or making 2 or 3 zero clearanceinserts for your saw. Then you can use the insert thatwill be sliced up the least for your current dado cut.Keep one for narrow or shallow dados, and another deepand or wide dados.Overall, this set is as good or better than I expected.

5Impressive
By Knotscott
This dado set replaced a very good Freud SD208. The DW7670 set has (6) 4-tooth chippers as opposed to the Freud's (5) 2-tooth chippers. The 7670 also has 24 tooth outside cutters....twice what the SD208 had. The result of the extra teeth is a smoother bottom on dados and rabbets. The SD208 left minor striping marks on the bottom...it's a small issue, but is nice not to have the marks at all. It also seems to make cleaner cuts along the edges. The shim stock and carrying case are much nicer on the DeWalt, however the DW's teeth have smaller carbide than the Freud, and the chippers aren't as massive. Because the chippers are lighter weight, the DW7670 comes up to speed alot faster, and allows deeper cuts with less bogging down on my saw....an added benefit I had not expected. Other than being made in China, I have no big issues with the set and am happy that I upgraded. It's design is more similar to dado sets costing nearly $200. I've quite happy with the overall performance and especially the great value.

5Excellent Dado Head
By Alan Richrod
This is a good product, pure and simple. The review below from D. Moore is spot on. I use a lot of different woods and this set cuts smooth, accurate, and consistent dados with no grooves. It's also pretty quiet for a dado head. I've used it on plywood, oak, koa, maple, purpleheart, and others. The cuts are exactly the same width from hardwood to softwood from the same set up. You may find another brand as good but there may well be none that are better.
