Saved My Dog's Life!

This product is great. Without it my dog would have died, quite literally, of starvation years ago. It is the only thing I have found to help him digest food properly.It works best if you sprinkle it on the food, then add a little water, just enough to get the powder wet. Then you must leave it sitting for about 20 or 30 minutes before feeding your pet.This product literally saved my German Sheperd's life!

Didn't come how I expected

I've ordered this product for years for my dog and I always get the 4lb version because it lasts the longest and is the best value for the money. The product itself is great, however, it's the container itself that I have a problem with. ...this time for some reason I was sent 4 separate 1 pound bottles. That's kind of impractical. It takes up more space in my cabinet and it wasn't the 4 lb. bottle that was pictured when I placed the order. Just be aware and make extra sure that you are getting ONE 4lb bottle when ordering. This has never happened in all of the years I have purchased this product, but now I am aware to ask!

Would not be without it.

I have been using Prozyme for over twenty years. I have Great Danes, and they can bloat easily. Prozyme prevents them from farting, which means to me they are producing a lot less gas, so less likely to bloat. Also it is a lot nicer to have them around. It's great to have it available on Amazon. I look for the cheapest way to get it. I use 1/4 teaspoon in each dog's food each meal, that seems to be enough. For a dog under fifty pounds I would use less.

Wonderful Product

I started using Edge for Dogs many, many years ago. I had a dog who was prone to hot spots. He would get them over and over.After I started him (and all other dogs I have owned) on this product, I have never, ever had a hot spot problem on him or any other dog.It solves skin issues, and brewers yeast is supposed to control fleas, so I don't use all the other flea products.I don't know why every dog owner doesn't use this!

Best joint support product EVER!!

We have a 7 yr old Golden Retriever who is over weight due to Cushing's Disease. The extra 25+ pounds have taken a toll on her joints and she could hardly get up or walk when the vet put her on a Glucosamine product. After a year, we really didn't see any difference in her. A local pet shop recommended this product and within a week, we saw a huge difference. She was easily getting up and her limp wasn't as bad. Within a few weeks, family and friends were noticing how spunky she was. We've had her on this for several months now, her limp is totally gone, she has lost some weight, and she now competes with our other dogs in chasing down balls. Excellent product...we will keep her on it for the rest of her days. Highly recommend!!

I began raising Bernese Mountain Dogs about 6 years ago. I was only able to purchase small 16 oz cans of puppy formula. Being able to order this quantity through Amazon was more efficient for me. I went to Petco to buy the formula when my Yellow had her litter. I got a wild hair and thought about purchasing on line. I was originally buying the 12 oz. and 28 oz. cans of powder. I would buy everything on the shelf with a bill running between 172.94 and 192.11 a purchase to feed 11 puppies. I asked at several other Pet stores and was told only the 28 oz. was the biggest can made. Well I can say that the 5 lbs bucket will save my wallet. Its cheaper and more for my money. Feeding 11 Lab puppies 4 times a day we go through 1 28 oz. can. Lets see them go through this 5 lbs bucket. THANK YOU AMAZON!!!!!!!!!!

Counterfit Pet Tabs ?

We've been buying Pet Tabs for 15 years in the name brand stores and depend on them to provide our dogs the vitamins they need for health. Although the container looks real enough from the Pet Tabs purchase we made on-line from Amazon, the actual tablets aren't the same texture we've been seeing for 15 years. Was the reason they were $15 lower in price that these tabs have passed their shelf life ? Normally pets gulp them down like favorite treats but our normally ravenous black lab mix takes a bite and promptly spits it out (for 2 weeks now). Reading the label these "new" pet tabs are made in an overseas location I question. Do they want profit but forgo the quality ? I've had good luck with books and a GPS purchased on Amazon but for real products and health items I'd advise sticking with the real store you can walk into. Is there any way I can get a refund on this product ?

I saw the 1* on these dog vitamins and decided to contact Virbac Corporation to find out the scoop about this product. I purchased it because of the 5*s and I am always curious why someone would give a product a 1*, when so many obviously recommend it.Mr. Todd Dean quickly responded to my email inquiry about where these Pet-Tabs are manufactured and how they compare.In his email he told me that since the beginning of 2008, "all the Pet-Tabs are manufactured at the same site in India and Pfizer maintains the same rigorous controls which were present when manufactured in the States."So, for clarification, these are not counterfeit as one reviewer wrote and yes they are now being manufactured in a foreign country.I have just began to use them so my 5* rating is for the quick response to my inquire from Mr. Dean and also my corgi Clancy, gobbled his first one right down this morning.

What's In This Stuff? It's A Miracle Worker

Our 12 yr. old Jack Russell exhibited extreme disorientation after surgery to remove a rapidly growing growth. She improved after a week or so, but I stupidly dismissed the problem as being a somewhat goofy dog to begin with. About six months later, she developed another growth and a second surgery was recommended. When I expressed concern over the previous odd behavior following surgery, our vet immediately suspected a liver problem. Sure enough, her liver enzymes were elevated.Before proceeding with the surgery, the vet recommended a few weeks on Lixotinic and a canned dog food diet. Within two weeks her liver enzymes had dropped (not to normal levels, but enough to proceed with surgery). Recovery time was minimal, thanks to continued use of Lixotinic and an anesthetic reversal. There was absolutely no confusion or disorientation afterwards.Lixotinic was integral in bringing down our dog's liver enzymes. More important, this dog has always been a picky eater, sometimes simply refusing to eat anything for a day or two at a time. Ever since Lixotinic has been added to her food, she has eaten every single meal without fail. For an old dog, her energy levels match those of younger Jack Russell Terriers. Both my husband and I are amazed at her noticeable vitality and hearty appetite. The vet says she can take a small dose for the rest of her life. I'm tempted to take some Lixotinic myself.

My Rhodesian Ridgeback had back-to-back (2 years apart) ligament sugeries on her back legs, on each side. The orthopedic surgeon recommended these pills following a course of anti-inflamatories for residual inflamation. They really work. I also give them to my other dog as a supplement, and my vet agrees.

I have given Comfort tabs to my cats and my dogs. The first time I used it, my cat was feeling better in a day and by week's end I was considering re-naming him Lazarus. He lived much longer than expected, and you would never have known in his final weeks that he suffered from terminal cancer.I now give Comfort tabs to my elderly Golden Shepherd (half and half) and she has responded well, having less stiffness and pain in her hips. Combined with muscle strengthening supplements, she is walking again.Good stuff.

Helped our St. Bernard - she has NO hip sockets

Our St. Bernard literally has no hip sockets...resulting in challenging joint problems in her hips. Being a rather large dog, she could easily have other joint problems.Our veterinarian recommended Comfort for the high amount of high quality anti-oxidants, and as an alternative to other, more usual, joint medications.She's now eight years old, longer lived than expected...and still doing very well.She does much better with Comfort than when we run out.Buying through Amazon gives us the best price I've found anywhere, and I've looked a lot.
