Cute, but not so practical.

I purchased this Snoopy Bank for a good friend of mine who is having a baby soon. Her nursery is done in a baby snoopy theme. I wanted to use the bank at her Baby Shower for a tradition where everyone makes a wish on a quarter for the baby and then deposits it into the bank. An odd moment occurred when we went to deposit the coins and they didn't fit into the slot!! We had to pry open the plug in the bottom in order to put the coins in the bank! I will say that it is a beautiful bank, maybe a little on the small side, but it is meant to be more of a collectable figurine, I think. The mom-to-be loves it. But they really need the coin slot to be a bit wider.

Solar is the wave of the future!

This lantern is very bright and the solar panels really work to charge well. We have taken this camping with us only one time so far and we got enough sunlight during the day to completely charge the lantern for the next night. It also is very bright and puts off enough light. In fact, we like it so much that we have bought two more- another for us and one for a friend. It is wonderful not to have to carry any type of fuel or batteries when you go camping and that alone makes up for the price difference between this lantern and less expensive propane, kerosene or battery lanterns. Plus, you get the added benefit of helping the environment.The only thing I cannot speak about is the long-term quality of the lanterns. We have only had ours for one month so I do not know how much rough treatment the solar panels will take.

Steady performer

I bought this unit for emergency lighting. I use it infrequently to "exercise" the light and battery. Solar charging on a bright day will take about 10 hours with a dead battery. The AC adapter will fully charge the unit in about 4 hours; I haven't tried the car charger to date. I find the light to be bright enough to read by--I'm an avid reader. An effective reflector really helps here. I have kept the light on for about four hours and have not noticed any appreciable fall off in brightness. I leave the light on during the day to drain the battery prior to recharging. I try to recharge using the fold down solar panels. The radio, in my location, has weak reception and requires constant tweaking of the antenna. I'm not sure of the utility of the flashing red lights--they're small--and I find the siren to be absurd. I wouldn't begin to consider using this light for backpacking, but if your bug-out bag includes your car, I would definitely bring it along. The true utility of this light, I feel, is in the home for emergency back up situations. A very good investment, in my humble opinion. One major complaint: the people who "gift wrap" the package do not bother to pack this lamp in any shock absorbing materials; I do not believe the off the shelf packaging the light is shipped in is sufficient to protect the unit in certain cases and may result in someone receiving a damaged product.

Very nicely balances the monitor vertically and when layed out flat and keep the monitor tightly upright during road travel (of course its your monitors inherent mounting werks). Folds down to reveal all my goodies, like the server attached via HD cable for when the internet is there and the cords, UPS etc. behind the scene. I would imagine this would be great anywhere you need to flip it down to get at the rear area. It's solid. Comes with two special wrenches.

Excellent value for the price

When I was looking for an LCD to replace my old CRT, I wanted to spend no more than $400 ideally. The NEC ASLCD92V fits the bill perfectly.First, NEC-Mitsubishi has a good reputation for engineering consumer-grade and higher computer displays, so I felt safe going with the NEC name.Second, now that I have it, the visual quality of the display exceeds the quality that I as a consumer have the right to demand for the price: brightness is nice, I don't see flicker, the 1280X1024 resolution means my 19" LCD displays a substantial amount of information on the screen; there is one defective pixel near the bottom of the screen, but I think I can live with that in 1280X1024 resolution.One important note: after I hooked up the monitor, my Windows system became unstable to the point of unusability. The problem was my graphics card -- an ATI Radeon 7000 -- which is too old and no longer supported by ATI, and simply could not support rendering to the new NEC display. I purchased a new graphics card -- a PNY GeForce 5700 VE -- and now Windows is fine. Although this increased the effective price of the NEC LCD, I suspect I would have had to replace the graphics card for any other 19" LCD. If you wonder if your card can support this display, my guess is that if your card is fairly new and can support a digital display, it will handle this analog display.Other notes: the monitor nominally has a 16ms refresh rate, which is better than most monitors in this price range. It has a 3-year (limited) warranty. It is analog, but until I see a digital monitor, I couldn't say if this is much of a detriment.

I agree with the other reviewers that this is a fine monitor. It set up fast and easily with a bright face and vivid colors. No adjustment was required, but I found it a bit too bright and easily dimmmed it slightly. No problem with Windows x-p.

Great Printer-So Good In Fact HP Discontinued it!

We have had 6 HP LaserJet 2420 Printers working continuously in our office for years. These printers are some of the best we have ever used [easily printing over 75,000 pages before they need repair. Easy to use, clean, and replace parts. They work so well in fact that HP stopped making them [they do not breakdown]. I have also purchased refurbished HP LaserJets -2420-they also are great. HP LaserJet 2420DN is a workhorse

I ordered three of these printers for my workplace and we've been using them for over a year. Their performance has been flawless and they use toner sparingly. The body of the printer seems very rugged and they connect to our network easily. They have a web configuration interface that is password-protected and encrypted, something that is important if you need to have the printer accessible from outside your local network.The only minor issue I've encountered is this: occasionally one of the printers pauses and won't restart until I manually reset it. I haven't determined if this is a user issue or if it's a printer issue. I suspect it's a user issue, so I wouldn't let this detract from my review.

Excellent Product

I had recently purchased a simular tester (different brand) but was limited to RJ11 & RJ45 line tests and was cumbersome to keep up with since it did not have a case. I miss placed the tester and had to purchase a new one and chose the Lan Pronavigator kit. I love it! It has a durable case that keeps all the tester components and extra clips. It was a little confusing at first to understand the test output, but didn't really take that long to master it. It's worth the price if you have to manage a network and deal with multiple telephones. I would definitely recommend this if you have a need to test cable on a recurring basis. The added bonus to this unit is that you can also test coax and BNC cables as well.

No tone probe? Really??

Based on the name of this product, Lan PROnavigator Tester kit, one would expect it to come with everything a network professional would need to test and troubleshoot network cabling. Unfortunately, this is not the case. A peculiar item left out is the tone probe. As a network admin, I spend far more time locating a cable in the switch cabinet than I do testing pin outs and connectors. A tone probe is an essential component in this endeavor, and its absence in this kit is surprising, especially considering the cost. Ironically, the kit does come with several BNC connectors, a holdover from the days of 10base2, circa 1980. (To be fair, the kit includes BNC to coax, so I guess one could test RG59 or RG6 for continuity, though not very useful to the LAN professional.) Also missing is any kind of speed verification or link indicator.It's just too bad the TVR 10/100/1000 tester from ByteBrothers is no longer available. Apparently, they actually used the tools they were selling and better understood the needs of the LAN professional.

I recommend the Tandberg/Exabyte backup solutions and associated media.Tandberg procured Exabyte and the web site describing the available media is located at the following url:[...]I am hopeful that Amazon can update the description of this product. In a VXA-2 drive the tape capacity is 80/160 Gb and in a VXA-3 drive the capacity is 160/320 Gb.I used a VXA-2 1X7 autoloader for many years and recently installed a VXA-3 1X10 autoloader. The systems have performed well using first Dantz, now EMC2 Retrospect as the backup utility. Generally, I have been able to store less than the advertised capacity of the tapes (~70 Gb on VXA-2 and ~130 Gb on VXA-3). The backup speed varies from a ~100 Mb/min to 700 Mb/minute on a modern PC with an Adaptec SCSI controller. The capacity and backup performance are strongly dependent on the nature of the material to be backed up. Many small files that do not compress well take longer to backup than large compressible files.

This is a great mount!

I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this mount with its spindly-looking arms. But I bought it and am impressed!It is very heavy-duty, and my new Panasonic PT-AE900U projector is now in good hands. Every joint on the mount can be tightened with the allen wrench that comes included. It also ships with four-each of four or five different sized screws to mount the arms to the projector.It all came together faster than I had anticipated. I was relieved to find that the bottom part twists off easily from the top part of the mount. This means that I only had to hold up the top part while screwing to the ceiling joist, and I could carefully screw the bottom part into the projector on a table. Then I simply had to lift up the inverted projector and twist it into the top part up near the ceiling.The fact that it can drop the camera down 12 inches was important to me, since I have a beam between the projector and the screen in my new basement home theater.It allows for minor adjustments in any dimension. You'll be happy you chose this mount

Start off by saying "yes" there are cheaper universal mounts out there, spend the few extra dollars instead on this one and you'll be happy you did. I've installed hundreds of projectors and this one is the most versatile. The build quality is solid and the leveling / tension knobs make install a breeze. Cheaper mounts can lose their hold causing them over time to start letting projector gradually move out of alignment, not this one! The adjustments and lock screws hold firm, it tilts, rolls, can sit off axis, what more can you ask for. Comes with extension or can flush mount. Easy twist motion allows a simple removal of projector for any servicing needs without having to remove bunch of screws. Highly recommend this mount to all my installer friends.

Good mount but bad wood screws can ruin your day (and stud)

The mount itself is solid. I bought a pretty big Epson projector and the mount fit perfectly. However, when I tried to install the mount on the ceiling I got problems: This mount came with #14 2' wood screws. So I drilled the holes with 64/11 drill bit, tried to get the screw in the stud with my screw driver. The screw quickly stripped out, the depth was just not deep enough to hold the force. It was really painful to remove a stripped wood screw. I went to Home Depot and bought a set of #14 2' metal screw with less than $1. After 10 mins work, these new screws mounted the projector firmly to the ceiling.So, maybe my stud is too hard so the original screws won't work. Or maybe they are just so cheaply made. But why can't they put in better screws with the product itself? It just costs less than 1 dollar (98 cents) in THD anyway. Considering this is a mount cost me more than 100 dollars, I'm really disappointed. I gives it 4 star because other than that, it is a pretty good mount. But beware, better get your own screws.
