cool but not perfect
By BayArea Foodie
i've had this phone for about 4 months and it does turn heads. that being said i must also warn you that they have 2 main problems that i've experienced.1.-the joystick is on the outside and it's small and not flat to the phone which means it's easy to snap off. mine fell off after 4 months of just taking it around in my pocket.2.- the phone flips up with quite a bit of force and after a while it's not as "tight" as it used to be.so those are the things i dont like about the phone, what i do like are bluetooth, camera, triband, rhythm lights, looks, web access and mp3 ringtones. so basically it's a great phone just as long as your careful with it. i'm getting a v600 now for my work phone which is basically the same phone but quadband and a clamshell design but most importantly damn near indestructable.

Almost Perfect
By Chiva
Great looking phone, definitely a head turner, good features: bluetooth, mp3 ringtones, good camera (for a phone), ring lights, etc. I was worried about the reception of the phone since it doesn't have an external antena, but it's great. (it's better than my previous phones a motorola v70 & v300). Software seems responsive, no "please wait" message while searching or scrolling the phonebook, which i sometimes got on the v300. Now for the not so good part: if you have chubby fingers, some of the buttons are hard to push, specially the volume control in one of the sides and the one's beside the joystick. The battery cover is hard to take off and is made of a plastic that seems to be easily breakable. Also when you flip the phone to answer a call it takes a second or two to connect, which can make you miss some calls, if you don't respond promptly.Overall I think this is a great phone though not perfect, but if you like small & stylish motorola phones, you'll love this one. I even prefer it over the v3, (slimmer but bulkier) that felt like i was carrying a palm or pocket pc in my pants.

Buyer Be Advised
By Richard Day
I found one of these phones. It needed repairs and Motorola repaired it. I have spent hours playing with it and it's technology is too much for me to understand. A great phone for an advanced computer "hacker" Fun, Fun, Fun. However, be advised that this phone is NOT sold by Motorola in this country and they have no plans to do so. Therefore, batteries are not available in the US, you must go to the International Market. Warranty repairs may involve delays, as they have to order the parts. In addition, you must have a SIM card. If you have one, fine, otherwise, you must go to a service provider such as T-Mobile, Cingular or AT&T to get one and the only way you get one is to buy a "Starter Kit" which is a phone and you remove the SIM card from it.
