4Almost perfect
By J. C. Lewis
I have had this cordless set for several days now. Here are my thoughts:First the bad news. There could be better quality control on this. The first unit I purchased had a right-arrow key that would not work properly (all other keys worked fine). Another reviewer of this model here said that the space bar did not work properly on their unit. I liked everything else so much, I returned mine and got another unit, which is now working properly. The only other negatives I can mention are: (a) the temperature on the numeric keypad ALWAYS reads 77 degrees; (b) the Media key on the numeric keypad always seems to launch the default media player, no matter what I set it to (the media key on the full keyboard works fine). Now the good news. I love the sleek look and modular design of this set, and it happens to match my HP Pavillion Notebook perfectly. I love the small USB receiver. I love the profile and tactile feel of the flat keyboard. I love the features that let you use this both on a desktop (in my case a docking station) or on the road with your laptop. The mouse is the least sexy of the three main parts, but nevertheless works well and the off switch is a nice feature; its main appeal is that it can be used on the desktop and as a portable laptop mouse. The wireless USB reciever, while small (a good thing), still has a very sufficient range. All in all, this set has solved a number of problems for me and I strongly recommend it. Just be sure to check ALL the keys, etc. immediately when you get it and exchange it for another unit if any of the keys do not respond.

4Great Keyboard a Few Annoyances
By M. Narciso
This is the best keyboard I've ever bought as far as typing goes. Its so sleek and thin and looks great on any desktop. Setup is so easy just plug in the mini usb adapter and hit connect on all the devices and your good to go.I really like how the numpad is detached from the keyboard. The mouse is probably the best mouse I've ever used and the switch to turn on and off is really great for saving battery power. All the media keys are really well done and not overdone like other keyboards that have so many buttons that your not gonna use.The little LCD screen on the numpad is really neat too. While its not essential it just adds a nice touch to the whole futuristic modern look. Logitech really has designed a nice keyboard. There is one thing that annoys me though which is the numpad the key 0 is harder to hit because the large button is replaced by 2 buttons, 0 and 000. This gets very annoying. The numpad does have a built in calculator though and can be turned on and off. This kit makes a great media center desktop. I love it and this is the best kit you can find except for the little annoying 0 key.

5Lots of pros, few cons
By John Brook Monroe
I was a little worried at first that I would have trouble typing on this keyboard after using regular "full travel" keyboards--this keyboard reminds me more of a laptop keyboard than anything else, but I shouldn't have been concerned. Unlike laptop keyboards, the keys are placed where you'd expect them to be, not inset 4 inches, on the other side of a touchpad. The numeric keypad with media control is the coolest. Thing. Ever.I found the wireless range to be acceptable, and the setup was painless. I didn't read the instructions (on purpose) to see if I could get through it on intuition, and I found the entire process (including the mouse battery installation) fit my expectations. The mouse really isn't too small--it's smaller than I was expecting, but it's not too small. (Could be big mice are overrated, anyway.) I found that it fits my hand perfectly, and has acceptable mass and traction for an optical. The 800-DPI aspect is a bonus; I'm used to 600 DPI mice.Without a doubt this is eye-candy, but it backs up the good looks by working exactly the way it should, and that makes it hard to beat. Yeah, price. Always price--but in this case, I think it's worth it.
