This folding ramp is easy to set up and use, I have a suburbanso space is not a problem for storing it. My female German shepardis getting up there in years so she was no longer able to getin the vehicle w/o assistance. The rubber tread on the ramp wasthe selling point as this made her more comfortable in going upit. This is not to say that she does it willingly, I have toguide her on to it and keep the leash close and moving forewardand she will go up it, she has a mind of her own. This in myopinion is the best ramp for our Shepards and serves our purpose.

Sturdy ramp but heavy
By PianoLady
My Golden tore his acl about nine months ago, and although he is pretty good now, we needed a ramp to get him into my new CRV because he can't "jump up" like that anymore (besides being 5 years old now, he gained weight during the healing months...) Anyway, this ramp is very sturdy...but rather heavy and certainly not compact. My problem is where to "take it along" once the dog occupies almost the entire back "trunk area" of my CRV....because of course you'll need the ramp at your destination too! There really isn't room, and putting it in the passenger area really cramps the space for the kids. If you have a large SUV, I'm sure this wouldn't be an issue for you, though. Just be aware, it isn't a "little, compact ramp", and you need to think about where you will stow it once the dog is in. It does fold in half, but it is still pretty big. But again, as far as product quality goes, it is very well built and I don't see it falling apart of wearing out in the near future. The ramp has little "grips" that help the dog climb up and not slide back down it. I would recommend this for your large dog.

Well worth the money!
By Kelli Parrish
I purchased this ramp after my 75 lb 1 year old pit/lab mix had knee surgery on both his back legs. I'd read reviews of other ramps that had a sand paper like surface for the dogs to walk on and I was pleased that this one did not. I had no problem teaching Duncan to go up and down the ramp. I've recommended the ramp to at least 1 person that saw me set it up at the vet's office. My only problem with this ramp is that it's fairly heavy and a little awkward to maneuver, but other than that it's great.
