You get what you pay for.

As a machinist who prides on precision, and takes that to the photography field as well. This is a well made product. At a glance, you know your getting quality and if you inspect the product they have done a fine job with machining a nice smooth mating surface to tripod with solid threading, the look and texture of it is really nice and professional looking, all axis are extremely smooth and require half turn to loosen and tighten and hold in all positions well with 6 lbs mounted. ***This is not a quick release*** You must roll the axis forward and screw it down to the head. To me, this give me added security, i dont need on the fly removal, and i much rather be graceful and patient with expensive equipment. I mated this with a Manfrotto 055XPROB Pro Tripod, for a total of 5.4 lbs. This head is LIGHT! Excellent buy i believe.
