aging female cat with thyroid issues...

Our 15 year old cat had been diagnosed w/ thyroid problem and is on medication. Always thirsty and eats all the time, but still losing quite a bit of weight. So much weight was lost, I was afraid I would come home to find her no longer with us. When we'd pet her, all we could feel was bones and flesh. It was awful seeing Stormy deteriorate. After a bit of research, I tried giving her kitten food and whiskas milk. Then did more research and found out about KMR. So glad I did. She is always ready to drink her milk and while she still feels a bit boney, she doesn't feel completely emaciated. She is gaining weight and always purring - happy and super lovable. As a previous poster mentioned, it does state to refrigerate bag. So I'll take a .5 cup powder and add 1 cup warm water - throw it in my tupperware mixer/shaker bottle and use it over the next 24 hours. So glad I decided to give this a try!!! I also give her cooked chicken - which she is all too happy to eat! While this won't cure her thyroid problem, at least she's enjoying a better quality of life.

good stuff

if you are to buy KMR you should definately buy it online, because the price is much better than most pet stores. If you buy the five pound bag you need to read the back carefully, because you are suppose to refridgerate it and it doesn't say it anywhere else.

My wife and I have been foster partents to several litters of kittens and have used KMR, normally mixed a little weaker than reccomended, to feed them. They have grown strong and healthy
