So this is what I've been missing
By jtvt
Unlisted spec - I called SK to find out that this has 50 teeth (7.2* swing), vs 36 teeth and 10* for the flex head, US made Craftsman). This thing is smooth like butter and solid as a rock. I've put it through the wringer for several months now and pushed it to the limits of torque a human can exert, bracing myself and pushing with my foot to *break* a frozen 1/2" bolt in half. Still as smooth and tough as the day I bought it. The directional selector works without holding the output driver, and the flex feature is almost as good as having a U-joint adapter on at all times (and less floppy). US made, and cheaper than most of the competition. Love it.

American Made

Better than Craftsmans and American made, Crafttsman decided to be made in China and I decided to dump Sears.. SK is made in Sycamore IL.

Best 1/2 inch drive flex-head ratchet I could find
By TM
I started with a Craftsman ratchet - unfortunately they no longer make Craftsman in the USA. The first one failed at the first use - ratcheting mechanism froze up. Craftsman's replacement policy for ratchets is different than the rest of their tools - they give you a rebuild. Hmm, rebuilt ratchet that looked like someone chewed on as a replacement for a brand new tool? No thanks, I returned it.Went looking for a suitable replacement and found the SK. Built in the USA and a solid product. I've been very happy with it so far.-1 star because the flex head is 100% flexible. It does not engage in its various positions like other flex head ratchets I am used to. Hasn't been a big deal since I got used to it.
