Ideal for cats!

We try to regularly replace our pet beds because, let's face it: Even when washing them often they tend to look ratty after a while with pet hair getting stuck in the fleece, etc. I picked this General Cage model because I wanted a rectangular one vs. an oval shape and because it looked like it was made out of an easier-to-clean material (which was confirmed by another earlier review here).This pet bed is exactly what I wanted. The fleece is not like the sheep wool imitation of the more common cat beds which tend to hold on to every single hair that was shed. The nap is "straighter" (don't know how to better describe it, sorry) and definitely much easier to keep clean. It also seems like it is a little bit padded on the bottom (not much, just a bit to provide some cushioning for the pet).The 18 x 14 size is perfect for our cat. He is of a regular size and fits into this bed snugly. But anyone who knows cats knows that the majority of them like to curl up in tight spaces such as baskets etc., so this is ideal for him.Lastly, the color is just as depicted here, so what you see is what you get, not any darker or lighter. We like it, our cat does, too, and so we (and the feline) recommend it :-)

Last year I got a Pomeranian puppy, and I bought him this bed in an extra small size for his crate. He has outgrown that one, but still refuses to sleep on anything else- he curls up in a tight ball on this tiny old bed of his in his pen. I bought him a different, more comfortable bed- he would not go near it! I had to come back and get him a bigger size of this one. I am hoping he will sleep on it and not notice it's different after I wash it. After a year of washings the old one still looks really good, no pilling or coming apart at the seams. The bottom of it is very thin for sleeping on a cold floor, but other than that, it has held up better than expected for me. I hope my picky Pom will use the new one!

My little baby Misty really enjoys her new bed. I love the soft feeling of the material. She enjoys laying her head on the side as it seems like she has a built in pillow all the way around. The perfect size for my little pekingnese baby! Very easily shakes out the crumbs from her biscuits she enjoys while relaxing. Machine washable and just hang up on the bathroom shower rod for a fast dry time! Seems like this will last her a long time but I would definitely purchase this product again!
