Best value in an AF meter I've found
By Kid_Again
I'm a gear head and have two classic cars with carbs and headers. The headers had bungs welded to them before I had them JetHot coated so I was ready to go when the meter arrived.I modified the box/wires to be easily swapped from one car to another and it works perfectly. With the small block, I have problems at WOT above 3,000 and I pretty much thought it was leaning out. First drive out of the box and I could see that not only was it leaning out, it was REALLY leaning out. Not enough to fry the pistons but I do enjoy keeping my foot in it. So this easily confirmed my suspicions. It's GOOD to have data. Also, the leds are perfectly visible on a sunny day with the top down.I did an awful lot of searching and was astounded at how much AF meters cost. So I was kind of expecting to return it. Quite the opposite. Besides, the other models I saw are data loggers, Bluetooth, remote telemetry, etc. Gimme a break, I'm not doing Formula One here, I just need something a bit more sophisticated than my nose.

IF YOU HAVE A CARB, YOU NEED THIS!
By petert
Most carbs purchased for the average hot rod are calibrated WAY too rich. This device allows one to effectively adjust/calibrate/modify each circuit of the carb. Most folks are using a Holley, and these are easily modified to allow for the user's intended purpose. Most tuners change the "main" jets, but the vehicle runs mostly on the transition or idle circuits, unless you are only drag racing the car. By using this product, one can monitor the actual fuel usage during each driving situation. Often, the idle circuit and transition circuit needs to be leaned a lot to provide economy for a daily driver (or a part-time racer). Using this product along with the books "How to build horsepower" by David Vizard volume 2 in particular, and "Holley Carburetors" by Dave Emanuel will give you the technical knowledge to modify (perhaps severely!)your Holley. Most muffler shops will drill the required hole, then weld the bung to your exhaust pipe for a small charge. Now go home, install the monitor and start saving gas or reducing your ET's, whichever you prefer.
