Magnador Two-Way Plastic Pet Door

We have used the pet door in our kennel for 5 years now. The only problems we have encountered is the magnets wear out and our big dogs have broken the door and we have had to replace after 5 years of use. (Not bad). If there is a big wind storm they will not stay shut, but I don't suppose many of the pet door do, you can lock these shut during those times. Overall, we feel they are a great product.

Cheap.

Easy to install. That's the only good thing I have to say. There is nothing to this door. It's plastic. It has a small frame that doesn't seal well. The magnets at the bottom don't keep the door closed well....the slightest breeze keeps the flap open. When closed, you can see right between the flap and the frame...about a 2mm gap all the way around. Needless to say, not airtight in the least. There is only a frame for one side of the door. The other side ends up looking like a hole cut in the door...which it is, but it should at least have the edges covered.

Don't follow their cutout

Works pretty good but don't use the paper they supply with the supposed actual size cutout. When you screw it down the screws will be right on the edge of the cutout. Also, I had to glue the magnets in because they kept popping out. I used a few dabs of glue from a hot glue gun on the outside. I didn't want to crazy glue it in in case I needed to change the magnets someday.
