Happy Family

We received this gift for Christmas this year. We have three boys, 4,5 and 6 so I thought this game might be too old for them. Boy was I wrong! The kids absolutely love this game!The 5 and 7 year old are playing regularly and learning the rules of chess quickly. The 4 year old just wants to play with the pieces-which are extremely cool and a whole lot of fun. Tired of the computer and video games? Buy this and watch your family come alive!

Great Pieces, OK board

Highly recommended. The Shrek pieces are awesome. Very nicely painted and realistic, and lots of fun! The 3 pig pawns are a hoot. The fairy godmother rook is also hilarious. We play this game every chance we get.However, I was disappointed with the chess board. It is somewhat flimsy and I was hoping for better. Also arrange the pieces by the rules. The picture on the box switches Fiona and Shrek.Overall, this is an excellent buy. The nicely detailed Shrek pieces make playing chess fun.

The Shrek Chess Game was a birthday gift for my grandson. He loves it. He is a big fan of chess and of Shrek. The figures are a good size. The board is OK. He has been playing with the pieces on larger boards that he has. This was a big hit and he plays with it with enthusiasm.
