Stunning Classic Design

This Watch is amazing to look at and compare to any other watch.I have a Bulova M7 Tank(1967 w/Diamonds), Swiss Army S.S. Calvary White Face(1994) and a typical Timex Expedition(Great value and looks)for work, but none can compare to the looks and craftsmanship that went into this watch. The hands match with the markers perfectly, the band is perfect in every detail and the Watch itself with it's Brushed Stainless Steel Case, White Face and Stainless Steel Markers with a Polished Stainless Steel Crown is Awesome to look at and see. Great watch; mediocre band

I've had this watch now for 6 months. I got it as a Christmas gift and it keeps excellent time; it gains about 3-4 sec./month which is about as accurate you can expect in this price range. The design is simple and elegant, and it's a great every day watch.The only downside is the band. While it does fit okay, what I don't like is it's 'fixed' design at the watch base. Instead of simple springs that attach the band to the watch like most watches, Skagen uses a metal reinforced insert in the band near the watch mount points that screws in the back of the case/ band. It makes the band not flex at all within a centimeter of the watch, which makes the fit on the wrist so-so. It doesn't flex with the contours of the wrist well. The strap is also rather stiff; some leather conditioner does help make it more flexible.Otherwise, it's a good watch even with the strange band design.

Nice watch but...

This is a fine watch but I noticed a few drawbacks:The date dial is so so tiny, you almost have to squint to see the date. I've never been able to just take a quick look at the date and read the number without staring at it for a number of seconds.Secondly, for some reason it pinches the hair on my wrist fairly easily.On the positive end, very nice leather band and light weight with a very slim 6mm case thickness which is rarely found.
