Most reliable Sump Pump ever puchased

Flotec FPPM3600D-01/09 1/3 HP Pedestal Sump PumpWe installed this model sump pump in 1997. 13 years later, it is still running. I am buying a back-up pump (same Model) because this pump got wet after the power went out and the basement flooded. Even though it is still working, I don't want to take a chance. The area where we live is wet and water constantly pushes up into the french drains and sump pump hole. There was not a day of rest for this pump. After 13 years, it deserves a rest.

Just bought the flotec .....I'm in a home I just purchased last year.There was a sump in the house but no pump. Up until last night there was never water in the sumpso I figured I was safe (WRONG!!)...well after all this rain and snow it was filled to rim and flowing out (yikes), fortunately this flotec came to the rescue...easy set-up....and more powerful than I expected. Kept me from swimming in my basement...as far as longevity...well thats another story to be written at another time...but for the price and it's effectivness...worth it!

Good pump for the money.

Pump works good and lifts the water five foot and out with no problem. I gave this a four star and not five, because the pump motor cover had lots of openings around the housing.I am using this in a damp area and figure it may let more moisture into the motor.
